What about a high school? Where are all the children in primary school supposed to go? There will be 2 primary schools in Wilton yet no high school? Picton High is already at capacity, and honestly has a terrible reputation. Our only choice is private, and still nothing close by. Children don’t stop education at the end of primary, but it seems developers don’t give a rats for high school kids.

Hello and thanks for making these changes public. On my understanding, the plan only reorients some roads and facilities so I don’t have any specific objections other than “enterprise” is a vague term and we will be very close to that “enterprise” zone, so more information about what is proposed and planned for the areas described should be made public so that those closest to the area can assess their likely effects on our quiet enjoyment of our properties. I do have a big issue with the “plan” for a primary school, because there is no concrete plans for imminent construction, and the local primary school is heavily oversubscribed already so new families in south east Wilton will face the prospect of having to send their children to Picton school. There is, as always, zero planning in any of these developments for a second public high school, and the thousands of students who are going to graduate from primary school from the area including Wilton south east, encompassing Bargo to Douglas park, out to the oaks is going to experience a schooling crisis unless someone (developers, government or other) makes a decision. It’s no use pledging to increase infrastructure and transport if it will be overwhelmed by inadequate planning at the outset. This is obviously not the developers concern in this proposal, but at some point someone MUST deal with it. Thanks for the opportunity to share my thoughts. Kind regards, Linda.
