Local Planning Panel Quarterly Report

Under these requirements, councils in Greater Sydney, Wollongong and Central Coast are to provide quarterly data reports to the Secretary of Planning, Industry and Environment.

The Department is collecting data on the performance of Local Planning Panels under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979) for Greater Sydney, Wollongong and Central Coast, as per the Secretary's Requirements under section 2.20(6) of the Act.

Under these requirements, councils in Greater Sydney,Wollongong and Central Coast are to provide quarterly data reports to the Secretary of Planning, Industry and Environment. This data will provide ongoing feedback on the operation of panels and will be used to monitor and assess panel performance and any impacts on the planning system.

Councils are required to complete their  reports by the last calendar day of each calendar quarter.

All panel meetings held in a calendar month are to be included in the report. Councils can submit data about meetings on a monthly basis, or quarterly, depending on each council's operational practices. For the last month of each calendar quarter, councils will be prompted to provide additional data about  planning proposals, code of conduct complaints and appeals.
