It appears that the building will be 59.88m Above Ground Level and the ground level is approximately 59m making a total of approximately 119m above Australian Height Datum. It is noted that the EIS advises:
“Airspace operations (clause 6.8)
Because the site falls within Prescribed Airspace for Sydney Airport Obstacle Limitation Surface (OLS), referral is required to the Sydney Airport Corporation Ltd (SACL). A drawing illustrating the relevant MGA coordinates has been provided for the purposes of referral to SACL.”
CASA agrees that the course of action described above is correct and in accordance with the Airspace Regulations. As you are no doubt aware, Sydney Airport will request comments from CASA and Airservices Australia and possibly airlines. CASA will review the development from an aviation obstacle perspective and provide recommendations back to Sydney Airport. The end result should be a prescribed airspace Approval from the Department of Infrastructure.

The height of the proposed development is 108m AHD.
The proposed development would therefore be approx. 30m through the OLS and considered to be a
controlled activity.
Under the Airports (Protection of Airspace) Regulations 1996 proposed controlled activities must be
referred to the Federal Department of Infrastructure, Regional Development & Cities for a determination.
