1. property values, how much have they already been impacted and into the future? When will someone be able to give us information on this?
2. when purchased our property it has stable complex for agisting thorough bred racehorses, in the future people may not want to use our facilities due to excess noise and activity not only from trains but bells and lights also.
Will we be compensated for this?
3. There is a school bus stop in close proximity, what measures will be taken to address this matter and make it safe?
4. We will be affected greatly by noise indoors and outdoors everytime a train goes past we will feel it.
We brought this property for the peaceful rural outlook and with this amount of trains doing high speed this will be taken away from us and our neighbours.
5. We will also be impacted by waits at level crossings. makes popping into to town inconvenient.
We are completely against these trains going on the existing railway so close to town.

Our reasons are as follows.
- property values, havevtheyvalready been affected? By how much already and how much in the future?
- Noise, extra noise from a minimum of 10 trains a day doing high speeds. Also flashing lights and bells.
- safety, what actions will be taken to make These crossings safe so close to town? There have already been 2 fatalities in this area in recent years.
- my children use the bus stop close to one of the level crossings. Safety issue.
-lost time at level crossings. I have been told that it will start with 10 trains a day at 1.8km long and the thecwait time will start with a 2 min wait. Makes popping into town inconvenient. This wait time will get longer as the trains do.
- if the new line goes in the paddock across from my property it will take away my pieceful rural view.
We completely object to this inland rail.

COMPENSATION FOR FINANCIAL AND PERSONAL HARDSHIP DUE TOO THE IMMEDIATE AND PROFOUND IMPACT THE INLAND RAIL PROJECT WILL HAVE ON OUR PROPERTY AND PERSONAL WELL BEING.
WE HAVE LIVED AT 87 OLD BACKWATER ROAD,NARROMINE FOR 27 YEARS AND ENJOYED A RELAXED RURAL LIFESTYLE IN HARMONY WITH THE CURRENT RAIL OPERATION. OUR PROPERTY IS OUR INVESTMENT FOR RETIREMENT.
AT 87 OLD BACKWATER ROAD THE ENTIRE EASTERN BOUNDRY OF OUR LAND IS THE NARROMINE TO PARKES RAIL LINE. OUR PROPERTY IS APPROX. 7 ACRES.
OUR TWO MAIN BEDROOMS OF OUR HOUSE ARE ON THE EASTERN SIDE AND ARE ONLY APPROX 30 METRES FROM THE RAILWAY LINE. THERE IS ALSO A RAIL CROSSING ON OLD BACKWATER RD WHICH IS THE NORTHERN BOUNDRY TO OUR PROPERTY AND APPROX 80 METRES FROM OUR HOUSE.
THE PROPOSED UPGRADE TO THE RAILWAY LINE IS SO TRAINS OVER 1.5 KMS LONG CAN TRAVELL PAST OUR PROPERTY AT OVER 100 KPH WITH ONE MOVEMENT EVERY HOUR.
THIS WOULD MEAN THE LEVEL CROSSING WOULD HAVE TO BE UPGRADED TO FLASHING LIGHTS BELLS OR EVEN BOOM GATES.
THIS IS A VAST DIFFENCE FROM WHAT WE HAVE EXPERIENCED FOR 27 YEARS.
I PERSONALLY HAVE GROWN UP WITH THE RAILWAY AS MY FATHER WAS NARROMINES LAST STATION MASTER SO MY DECISION TO PURCHASE 27 YEARS AGO AND LIVE AT 87 OLD BACKWATER ROAD WAS MADE KNOWING THE IMPACT OF LOCAL RAIL MOVEMENTS
THIS IS A TOTALLY NEW SENERIO WHICH WILL IMPACT US FINANCIALLY AND PERSONALLY.
WE WILL BE SEEKING COMPENSATION FOR THE AMOUNT OF PROPERTY VALUATION LOSS AND PAIN AND SUFFERING.
WHILST I AM IN FAVOUR OF THE PROJECT DISPENSATION SHOULD ALLOWED FOR PROPERTY OWNERS WHOEVERS BOUNDRY DIRECTLY JOINS THE RAIL LINE AND WHOEVERS DWELLING IS DIRECTLY IMPACTED BOTH FINANCIALLY AND PERSONALLY

While in general favour of the project as a whole I am concerned about the possible noise of the faster, more frequent trains proposed as well as the possibility of boom gates, bells and whistles one would expect as a safety aspect for the crossing.
Dense foliage as well as installation of shutters / double glazing on the two back bedroom windows may be required if the level of noise and vibration becomes intolerable. Any advice or assistance would be appreciated in this regard.

I am also writing to voice my concern for the construction period due to begin in 2018. I have been told that work will be carried out from 6am to 6pm Monday to Sunday. Also with the track close to my property, 3 culverts closeby have been identified with potential possession work of 24 hours a day. I am concerned of the noise level of the work being carried out for long periods across the day that will impact upon my family's daily routine as I work fulltime, as does my son who travels daily to work at Dubbo and i have a daughter who attends primary school each day. I am concerned for the noise level and interruption this will cause to us, impacting upon our time at home for sleep, rest and relaxion during the times of day that we are home and not working, especially during the early hours of the morning and if work is to be carried out 24 hours a day.

We hope that adequate consideration has been given to the residences both directly and indirectly affected by the rail and all that it entails.

Family operated mixed farming business producing wheat, canola, barley, fat lambs, wool and cattle. Our long narrow property runs parallel with the railway line on both sides of the track for approximately 6km.
Concerns
Our residence is not far from the track will be affected by the increased noise levels during construction. Once the project is complete, increased train movements will lead to more noise too.
Dust during construction stage affecting crop/pastures and livestock production. Our residence would be affected by dust as it is nearby.
Decreased value of our farming land due to restricted access for stock/crop management and production.
Loss of production due to stock not grazing near rail line because of increased traffic, noise and speed of trains.
Work health and safety of farm employees because it will be more dangerous to shift large machinery and stock across the train track because of increased speed of trains and volume of traffic.
We fear we might lose some of our already existing track crossings. We have a large number of crossings because our property is long and narrow. We used all the existing crossing on regular basis in order run our business.
The railway corridor, is currently poorly maintained. It is over run with obnoxious weeds and at times is a fire hazard. The access tracks are not regularly graded and maintained with large pot holes, long grass and old railway rubbish. Thus making fighting fires or attending derailments a hazardous task.

We are a major Merino sheep operation selling sheep throughout Australia and overseas.
We carry 18,000 sheep on our property with the property being bisected in half by the railway line.
We have sheep crossing in mobs of 200-600 many times throughout the year and without an underpass or some other way of safely moving them this would have a big impact on our business.
Moving valuable stock across the railway line with the proposed number of train movements and speed of the trains would prove extremely dangerous for both the people and stock involved. As well as family members who move sheep we have employees who continually work with the sheep moving them when necessary and this would be a massive WH&S issue for us.
