I would like to express my support for the proposed extention of
Chain Valley coal mine.I am thankful to say that i have been a coal miner for more then 20 years,working as a full time emolyee
at 5 mines in 3 different districts. I have always found coal minning communities to be great paces to live and bring up families.As a local living in Wyee Point i feel the extention of the mine and increase in full time empoyment to be an exciting positive

I support the proposed modification to the Chain Valley approval as it;
1. Provides for increased supply of coal to the local power station and not the export market
2. Provides for future additional employment opportunities
3. Supports the ongoing viability of operations at Chain Valley Colliery which have been a key feature of the area for over 50 years.
4. Enables greater protection for the workforce through improved productivity and additional bushfire protection measures.
