Cleanaway's Western Sydney Energy & Resource Recovery Centre

Please I don’t want my kids and my family to be breathing the toxic fumes that are emitted from these incinerator. They will claim they are clean energy and there is no harm to the human population breathing in the air surrounding the Treatment plan, they will say what they need to get the approval. At the end of the day they are burning RUBBISH, and the gasses and ash is being emitted in the air where thousands and thousands of people will be effected maybe not straight away but in the long run.
Why should the western Sydney be the dumping grounds? Why can’t they build this incinerator else where away from residential areas? Away from people? Away from us? We suffer enough already smelling the foul odours coming out of the rubbish tips around eastern creek and now this?
Please don’t do this to us.

it is too close to residential areas, hence there will be a lot of traffic in which pollution will also occur. therefore, health issues will be on the rise and there will be many other problems that will occur with physically and mentally. v

It’s not in the interest of the community to have this so close to housing suburbs.

Australia should have none of these harmful facilities

Why must this be built in a community of families and the like where schools, sports fields, and play grounds will be affected?
This proposal was shut down before and I just cannot see why it has been brought up again as an option to be built!
If there is a need for this incinerator, build it in an area away from booming communities!
If you perceive this project to have zero negative impacts on the surrounding community and quality of life, perhaps you should consider relocating the project to your suburb.

Due to the dangerous impacts it will have not only on my health, but to my fellow community and my kids one day I definitely do not want this near my suburb or anywhere in Sydney!

My submission is you will provide power for homes ,rubbish will be stockpiled and goes on you provide power for so many homes but in reality company's always want more so I object, solar power is the way get your head screwed on big company's should put panels on everyone's house and self maintain environment

The facility is too close to the residential area of Minchinbury.
Western Sydney is seen as an easy target due to the stigma that the residents are uneducated and on welfare.
We worked hard to purchase our home in the suburb of our choice, educate our children and build a lifestyle that we want ( and we have never received welfare) - not to live under a toxic cloud that will adversely affect ours and our neighbors health.

You wouldn’t approve this proposal for the North Shore or the Eastern Suburbs (affluent areas) so don’t dump it on the residents of Minchinbury.

If the proposal company want this so much then maybe they should build it in their backyard and not our.

No matter how they dress it, plain and simple its an INCINERATOR.

We don’t want fumes polluting our air

Why should the people of Western Sydney get stuck with this incinerator, we already get the smell from the local dump so why should we put up with this now as well

I have been informed about the toxic nature of this new development in my area. Western Sydney is not a dumping ground for the states RUBBISH! This development is close to residential communities, schools, parks, playgrounds , and a new zoo. We don’t want more smells and toxic waste being emitted into our air space!!!! People must come before dollars 💵

I have been informed of the toxic chemicals that such a development will release into the environment. I strongly object to this development being built so close to residential estates. I have lived in Minchinbury my entire life and would hate for the our air quality, as well as our overall health to be affected. People must come before dollars!

Damage to the environment

I have been informed of the toxic nature that this development would create. Such establishments are never proposed in the affluent areas of Sydney, and this only confirms the State’s continual disregard for the residents in Western Sydney and their quality of life. I am tired of my home being a dumping ground for the State.

The statistics are not indicative of true long-term health effects. I object the project proceeding.

I am totally against the incinerator being built .
It would be built so close to my house, putting the lives of my family and the community in danger.
Many studies have been made and shown the dangers and implications the fumes from these incinerators cause.
We have the right to breath clean fresh air, our children should not be put at risk every time they step outside to play in their own back yard.
The community fought so hard to stop the last proposal and we will do it all again.
This is a serious matter that has to be stopped.
We urgently need the support from the council and Government to stand behind the people of Western Sydney and put a stop to this ridiculous proposal once and for all.

It’s deplorable that large companies do not care about the well-being of their fellow community. The issues that will arise won’t be around for these people to deal with, it will be their children, and their children after that. It’s a sad thought to think that companies such as Cleanaway don’t care about their own safety and well-being, but that’s on them. I care about myself, my family, my future family and this community I grew up in. Western Sydney is NOT a dumping ground. We are well educated, hard working citizens of society, start treating us that way.

A second consideration of such project so close to communities is a new low.
To favour money over the health of your people is disgusting.
Very disappointed.

I respectively request that my strong objection to this project be submitted on the basis that this project is detrimental to the health, well-being and environment of the surrounding community. The proximity of the facility to schools, residential areas and nearby zoo is not acceptable for any reason and should be located in a more appropriate area away from high density population. The project will create further pollution into the atmosphere in addition to any that will be generated by the new Badgerys Creek Airport that will affect a large area of the Western Sydney catchment.
