I object to Cleanaway running a waste resource facility and a waste transfer facility at Erskine Park until the current problems with odours are controlled. Currently we have regular odour problems stemming mainly from a SITA facility.
Until it can be guaranteed that the smell isn't going to be an issue I believe that this should be put on hold until we no longer receive any smells from existing facilities.
I understand that there are steps that are supposed to stop this smelling but there doesn't appear to be any evidence to prove that this is the case.
In addition to the odour problem there are going to be over 200 extra trucks per day in the area. The roads as they are cannot cope with the additional trucks that are now in the area from the industrial areas that are now part of Erskine Park. The roads need to be fixed before you even consider that a new waste facility with additional trucks will be operational.
I quite often see children crossing Ersking Park Road and running to get across, on more than one occasion I have had to brake so that I don't hit a child. Will it take someone getting seriously injured or killed before Erskine Park Road is upgraded?
I would like to think that there aren't any issues with the smell for everyone's health long term but I believe that we won't really know for another 10-15 years if there is the possibility of people getting terminal illnesses from the smell. Who knows what else is coming in on the breeze?
Please reconsider the waste facility until it is certain that the smell issue is under control, traffic isn't going to be an issue and every member of the communities health isn't going to be adversely affected.

I'm over the smell. It goes through the house and through the washing.
We get enough all ready to then be subjected to more.
Not in our backyard

I object to the proposed Erskine Park Resource Management Facility. I have lived in St Clair for 36 years and not once have I voiced a protest to the developments of any kind. This however will impact heavily in so many ways.

The smell already is disgusting forcing my family indoors with Windows/ doors shut and air con on. This BS decision of having our domestic waste bin emptied every two wks is absolutely appalling. This smell is definitely getting worse over the last few months and is very embarrassing and costing me excessive amounts of $ in electricity and lowering my house valve. I believe if this goes ahead the residents should be offered market valve for their premises. I have recently extended and renovated my house and we be fuming if this goes ahead

I am opposed to the application because of its close proximity to residential properties as any odour emitted and the extra trucks in the area can impact greatly on the health of some in the community. On the other sides of the proposed development there is a new Childcare centre, a retirement village and 3 private schools. I don't feel that this is a good location for such a development. Please don't let it pass!

Our kids are sick enough I can just imagine my doctor visits if this happens. We live in a hole so everything odours, pollution we get and to top it off that plus the airport we might as well start building our coffins. My backyard is on Mamre Road St Clair the road is busy enough. I am sick of all the shit being off loaded in this area yet Penrith are well looked after with our Council Rates and we get nothing. I have lived in Erskine Park and we already beed to deal with the putrid smell coming from the Wallgrove road tip. Some nights you can smell it driving down the M4 and most mornings you csn smell it in your own backyard. It makes me feel quitw nauseous as it is not a smell you can easily ignore. When i was pregnant it made morning sickness unbearable.. couldnt even escape it in your own home. If this gets approved not only will the house price drop (im a renter but enjoy living in a beautiful community) but alot of established familes will leave the area. I live near the bush and we are already seeing the wildlife being jnterupted by construction happening. Sadly, we have had cows roaming our streets, seen more snakes come out as their habitat isgetting smaller and the other day i nearly hit a kangaroo in my own street. I know there is a good population of foxes, wallabies, lizards, cows, kangaroos birds in that small bush. I would like to know what is happening to rehouse this wildlife. We enjoy our walks through this bush to show wildlifeto our daughter and choae to live here to feel closer to nature in a busy metropolitan. Every month this is getting worse and will continue with the airport development. Dont make us suffer with the putrid smell of a second tip kiterally in our backyard. I for one will be one of the first famikes to pack our bags and leave. I will not expose my young family to the inhaling of unknown toxins. There are plenty of remote places for a tip, dont build one here!!

I object that only the 90 place Childcare centre the Retirement village in Erskine Park are addressed in the EIS, but it fails to take into account the 3 schools also in the same location as the Retirement Village. These schools are:Mamre Anglican School with approximately 526 students, Trinity Catholic Primary School with approximately 350+ students and Emmaus Catholic College with approximately 1086 students and teachers

I strongly object to anymore waste facilities in this area, the ones already here are not being managed.
I am unable to phone the EPA line due to illness with the horrifying stink of the facilities.
Please keep the waste in question where it is, the people out here have had enough.
I would also like to see a study being done on the health affects off the odours.

I object that the 4 odour producing facilities in the area have not been sufficiently taken into consideration. We already encounter horrific smells from the SITA Waste Management Facility on Elizabeth Drive Kemps Creek on a regular basis and are extremely concerned that the odours from this Waste Transfer Facility be will only add to the existing odour issues. This new facility is 700m from residential properties.

I wish to lodge my strong objection to the application. Our suburb already suffers with strong objectionable odours frequently. To foist more on us would in my opinion have a very detrimental effect on our local environs. To have this facility within 700 metres from a residential are in my view is an absolutely ridiculous idea.

We do not want this project to go ahead. It is a serious health risk to our already impacted lifestyle. We moved out here for the semi rual and healthier lifestyle. We now have had the introduction of the erskine park business park, the Badgers creek airport and I do not want a smelly and unhygienic resource management system near my family.
