Multicultural project which add a value to the community

This is an amazing project for the children of our hills community , I look forward to seeing the renovation and expansion of the school

We need th school to be able to expand .

The current capacity of Islamic Schools within the hills area doesn't meet the current demand. This expansion is necessary for the community.

I support the project

The school provide a good high school opportunity for Muslims families in the area, especially with no other alternatives of good public high school or non religious schools.

I really support the project and it will help my community

The proposal will adversely impact the community due to the increase congestion on the roads leading to the school. Infrastructure cannot handle the current volume of traffic and the Withers road round about is constantly in grid lock at pick up and drop off times. Even with the proposed expansion of Withers road to two lanes, Mungerie road will not move the required traffic at this critical time with the 5 surrounding schools in the area. The current school has attempted multiple solutions to this existing problem, none on which have been successful. Many of which have encouraged dangerous illegal and driving behaviour of persons entering and exiting the school with no regard for vulnerable road users commuting during these peak times.

I support the Malek Fahd Islamic School Expansion project because it provides quality education in a diverse and inclusive environment. The expansion will accommodate more students, ensuring access to excellent learning facilities. It fosters academic excellence, cultural values, and community growth. Investing in education strengthens our future and benefits society as a whole.

I object to the project as the local roads can not keep up with all the extra traffic & congestion this is going to bring.
As well as the shade & shadows this is going to bring to our residence.
Also this is an expansion on a school but there is proposal for a prayer centre which I am sure is going to be used outside of school hours bringing more noise etc outside of school hours.

With muslim community continue to grow we deserve more support and facilities to make sure we look after ourselves and our families and kids and we provide the community with good well educated islamic generation and respectful for his background and beliefs as well

Area needs more of this type of schools with expansions

I’m reaching out to express my full support for the proposed expansion project at Malek Fahd. As I genuinely cares about the future of our children, I believe this expansion is more than necessary—it's essential for both the school’s growth and the development of our community.

Our area has seen serious growth over the past few years, and naturally, that means we need more educational resources. Malek Fahd has always delivered top-notch education, but it's clear that the current facilities aren’t keeping up with the rising number of students.
The expansion plan will bring in extra classrooms, upgraded facilities, and better learning spaces—all critical to keeping our kids on track academically. Beyond just helping the students, this expansion has broader benefits: more programs, extracurriculars, and support services to prepare our kids for future success. Plus, the construction will create jobs, for the community and local businesses and give the local economy a much-needed boost in the short term.
Other schools, have gone through similar expansions without facing resistance from their communities. So, it's only fair that Malek Fahd receives the same consideration from the Hills Shire Council.
I strongly urge you to back this project. It’s a golden opportunity to invest in the success of both our kids and our community. Let’s keep Malek Fahd a key pillar of the area for generations to come.

It’s very important for the community living there

The school has been serving the community for a long time. The number of students who are welling to join is increasing, and the school needs to accommodate this increase. It also serves to reduce the traffic at the area.

My kids are in the school and we need this expansion urgently.

Many residents in the area are in need of a larger school.

There is growing population of Muslims in hills shire and faith-based schooling is in high demand, Malek Fahad need to upgrade their facilities to accommodate new students as well as provide modern facilities to current students. I fully support the expansion project and would love for it to get approved.

I strongly object to the proposed expansion of Malek Fahd School. The surrounding road infrastructure is not able to support the current level of traffic being generated by the school during pick-up and drop-off times. Cars park illegally on Brampton Dr and Parkway Dr causing dangerous visual obstructions and forcing other vehicles to have to cross to the incorrect side of the road to pass. The increase in student numbers will bring more vehicles into an already small suburb, creating dangerous conditions for residents & students alike. Local roads will be used as "rat-runs", and compromise the existing peace and quiet of the suburb.

I also feel that given my proximity to the school, the proposed earthworks and construction noise will negatively affect my family's quality of life. Beaumont Hills is an established, small knit suburb. I moved here as I did not want to live in an area which was being developed.

Finally, the proposed expansion and development will not fit in with the suburb's aesthetics. The neighbourhood is almost exclusively residential homes, and a 3 storey building will adversely impact the social & community aspect of the neighbourhood & surrounding homes.

There are already several large schools in the immediate area, and traffic problems are currently severe. Beaumont Hills was a planned suburb which was never designed to accommodate such a large school development in addition to the existing schools.

The nparking space and traffic jam. There are plenty of other schools to choose around this area, don't think a very big one will help anyone living in this area.
