To whom it may concern,
Letter of Support - Springdale Solar Farm
I am very pleased to be writing this letter to express my unequivocal
support for the proposed Springdale Solar Farm, located in Sutton, New
South Wales.
I am a member of the solar farm construction industry and I strongly
believe that renewable energy brings substantial opportunities for
communities, both economic and employment opportunities as well as
environmental and social benefits.
Renew Estate, the developer of the Project, has actively engaged with
the community and local stakeholders from the outset of the process,
ensuring community members are informed, consulted and genuinely
involved in the development process. They have been kept up to date
regularly with progress on the project and have been given the
opportunity to provide feedback into matters which will affect local
residents. In particular, the developer has ensured that local
businesses are aware of and have access to employment and supply
opportunities associated with the project, both large companies and
also local SMEs who may not otherwise have access to an opportunity of
this scale.
We believe the Springdale Solar Farm will contribute significantly to
the environmental quality and amenity of the area and that solar
energy and renewable energy in general represents a substantial
opportunity for economic development in the region.
I strongly support this project, commend the management of the
development process and genuine involvement of the local community,
and look forward to the substantial benefits this will bring to our
region - economic, social and environmental.
Sincerely,
THOMAS MCMINN
