Rezoning of various sites in Villawood and Fairfield for open space purposes

The proposal rezones various sites in Villawood and Fairfield for open space purposes. 15 Nelson St, Fairfield is proposed to be rezoned from R4 High Density Residential to RE1 Public Recreation to reflect the current use of the site as a 'pocket park' for the community. 1, 3 and 5 Karella Avenue, Villawood and 54, 56 and 58 Koonoona Avenue, Villawood provide a combined area of 3260 m2. The Villawood Sites are proposed to be rezoned from R2 Low Density Residential to RE1 Public Recreation to provide a future 'neighbourhood park' for the community. The proposal is supported by Fairfield's Open Space Strategy 2007, the draft Fairfield Residential Development Strategy 2009 and the Fairfield Section 94 Review.
