HOOKA CREEK BUSH FIRE TRAIL WORKS

Wollongong

The works are to formalise existing tracks within the Hooka Creek area to allow for RFS emergency vehicle access, close off informal tracks and trails, provide designated walking tracks for the public, and to reduce 4WD and motorbike access to the site to protect and enhance sensitive coastal wetland area and vegetation, including saltmarsh. These works will help to prevent illegal access which is resulting in environmental degradation, whilst also maintaining access for bushfire management purposes, and for passive pedestrian access.
