Development Consent is sought for the establishment of an Extractive Industry (quarry) on Boundary Creek Road, Nymboida. The proposal is to extract hard rock by mechanical and blasting methods including crushing, stockpiling and transportation/haulage of material off site. Extraction will be a maximum of 4.9 million tonnes over the life of the quarry with an estimated quarry life of 25 years. Maximum extraction is 80,000 m3 / 200,000 tonnes of material per annum.
The application is a Staged Development Application pursuant to the provisions of Clause 83B of the EP&A Act 1979 for Stages 1A, 1B, 2, 3 & 4. The development seeks consent for stages 1-3 (Area 1) with Stage 4 (Area 4) being subject to further development approval.
