Group Home (additions and alterations)

The proposal involves demolition of the existing buildings and replacement with new buildings and facilities to provide a group home with 20 x client bedrooms and 1 x staff bedroom. The facility will have therapy and counselling rooms, a yoga centre, staff workstations, gardens and an enclosed outdoor recreation area. The proposal provides for 10 x off street carparking spaces, including 1x disabled space, with access to the site from the existing driveway. Space is also provided within the parking area for a small van to assist with client transport. A separate access driveway for bushfire emergency vehicles on the southern side of the facility is provided forprotection from potential bushfires within the adjoining Orara East State Forest.
