Road Upgrade - Boundary Street

The project is known as the Boundary Street Upgrade. The proposed development is for
the upgrade and widening of approximately 1.2km of Boundary Street from Hibbard Ferry
to Oliver Drive. Boundary Street will be widened to create a dual carriageway from Hastings
River Drive to Port Macquarie Airport. The upgraded road will have kerb and gutter and is
proposed to raise Boundary Street above the 1:20 flood level and increase the size of the
culvert. Some removal of vegetation is required to achieve the required upgrades. A
temporary bridge access will be constructed at the location of the culvert so that traffic can
still access Port Macquarie Airport during construction.
