Explanation of intended effect – improving planning processes to deliver infrastructure faster


Proposed changes to the following policies were exhibited from 6 March to 16 April 2024 to help accelerate the delivery of essential infrastructure in NSW: 

The changes have been implemented in stages, with the first changes to the Policy made in December 2024. The remaining changes were implemented in December 2025 as part of the most significant reform to infrastructure planning policy in 8 years.
