The NSW Government has released the final Warrawong Parklands Master Plan to create a world-class, waterfront destination in the Illawarra region.
The master plan aims to transform the 32-hectare park into a vibrant, inclusive public open space that showcases Lake Illawarra’s natural beauty, responds to community needs and boosts tourism and recreation opportunities for the region.
The plan creates a resilient and unique parkland providing leisure, sport and entertainment opportunities while protecting and enhancing the natural environment.
The draft plan was on exhibition from Wednesday 17 September 2025 until Wednesday 15 October 2025.
