The Wentworth Point Urban Activation Precinct rezoning proposal includes apartments, maritime facilities, a large peninsula park, a school and connections to the nearby Sydney Olympic Parklands. On exhibition is a proposal, planning report, technical studies, draft Development Control Plan, statement of intended effect and draft maps. The proposal provides a summary of the rezoning and key findings of the technical studies that relate to issues such as traffic, overshadowing and visual impact assessment. The planning report has more detailed information. The proposal seeks to establish a site specific planning regime for the precinct by amending the Auburn Local Environmental Plan 2010. The amendment would establish land use zones, building heights, floor space ratio and development controls against which the future development of the precinct will be guided and assessed. The draft Development Control Plan specifies built form and other controls for future development to achieve the vision for the precinct.
