Draft Bush Fire Prone Land Package

Have your say on the proposed changes.

The exhibition for the Bush Fire Prone Land Package is now closed.

The department, in partnership with the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS), has developed a draft Bush Fire Prone Land Package to ensure that bush fire risk is considered in strategic land use planning in NSW.

This package was exhibited for public consultation from 3 – 30 July and is now under consideration. You can still view the exhibition documents below.

The feedback will help us continue to improve the NSW Planning system and inform the final package.

The package will improve the integration of bush fire assessment into strategic land use planning, respond to climate change, decrease the cost of recovery and rebuilding, and ensure our communities are more resilient to bush fire.
