Development Control Plans amendments

Northern Beaches Council, at its meeting held on 19 August 2025, resolved to adopt amendments to the Manly Development Control Plan (DCP) 2013, Warringah Development Control Plan 2011 and Pittwater 21 Development Control Plan.

These amendments introduce new controls for low and mid-rise housing in response to recent changes to the State Environmental Planning Policy (Housing) 2021 (Housing SEPP).

Specifically, the amendments include the insertion of:

• Clause 5.7 – Low and Mid-Rise Housing Areas into the Manly Development Control Plan 2013
• Part G10 – Low and Mid-Rise Housing Areas into the Warringah Development Control Plan 2011
• Section C7 – Design Criteria for Low and Mid-Rise Housing Areas into the Pittwater 21 Development Control Plan

The DCP amendments come into effect on 15 September 2025.
