Armidale Battery Energy Storage System

I wish to forward an objection to the placement of 936 Lithium batteries on a 2.30 Hectare site, project SSD-23515853, close to Armidale.
Apart from the ludicrous campaign by the Federal and State Governments to provide non reliable renewable power throughout the nation at huge expense to the taxpayer, this installation along with its infrastructure will be a blight on the beautiful New England landscape.
While this strategy will make overseas companies wealthy with a life span of perhaps twenty years for the installation, the energy used in producing these batteries and infrastructure is counter productive in providing a large amount of carbon emission in their production. This is particularly obnoxious, when as part of an overall project the Government cannot give an estimate of what this folly is to cost the nation, for an unreliable power source.
Given the precarious defence situation we now face, why would any government eventually be spending trillions of dollars, weakening our industrial strength and therefore our defence capability on a mad venture?
There are a myriad of reasons why I oppose this development but like most I live in a busy world and I know the Government will continue to waste taxpayers money no matter what the objections.
There is an alternative green source of energy in Nuclear Power which could be used, thus preventing our Australian landscape looking like one huge industrial complex.

It is unethical to pursue the Armidale BESS due to their volatility, their potential fire risk and the toxicity of these systems. The proposed BESS poses a risk to the community's health. The capacity to facilitate reserve electricity supply is minimal and not worth the risk to the livelihood of residents. Furthermore the presence of a BESS will serve to validate extensive transmission capacity that is undesirable and contentious throughout the landscape and local terrain.
The BESS is another link in a chain of proposals that purport to save the planet but fail to adequately account for their contributing damage by the same means of accounting.
Such a project cannot be supported

I am opposed to the current push for renewable energy and the need for turbines, solar panels and battery storage, if it was so wonderful and it worked there would be no need for tax payer subsidies, it will not reduce consumer power prices and it will destroy the rural landscape and present a danger to wild life.

You must be Joking to put a Toxic Infrastructure above a Significant Sacred Area , and a National Park, and a World Heritage Listed Area of the Rare Type of Rainforest named Gondwana, already under Threat from Armidale Regional Council, correct.

I Object to Armidale BESS SSD-23515853 as there is too much data to suggest that the current state of 'green renewables' are in fact not green at all. They cause local environmental carnage and will result in Australia having expensive, unreliable power in the future. That is fact, not political spin.

I object to the Armidale BESS as it is unreliable, unsustainable, and environmentally damaging and is not in the best interests of our country. This project will result in higher electricity costs to consumers and batteries have been proven to increase the risk of fire that can not be easily extinguished. Australians want 24/7 energy supply.

I OBJECT TO THIS PROJECT. These projects are environmentally destructive. There is NO proof that renewable energy will have capacity to power our nation. This is an unreliable energy source. These terms have been dictated to us by international ‘leaders’ who the Australian public - in this case, rural Australia - have not voted for. The Australian government is getting their orders from un-elected internationals who have no care for rural Australia. This is a scam. Why should rural Australia suffer? This is unfair and will ruin rural Australia. Renewable energy is too unreliable. We need to preserve the land that produces our food.

I object. This will have too many negative impacts on the community. The fire risks and smoke toxicity alone should be enough to have this project cancelled. It is not safe.

I object. I am an 4th generation farmer and agricultural land should not be permanently destroyed to host/house/harbour these projects. I fear for our agricultural industry should all these projects go ahead. Where do those in the cities who agree to/design and develop these projects think their food comes from? Their woke, unreliable ideologies have no place on primary farming land.
What happens when this BESS catches fire? What about toxic run-off from this? What about the toxic chemicals that enter our soil? What about toxic run-off into water systems?
This projects needs to be cancelled due to the disastrous environmental and health impacts.

I object to Armidale BESS. This project is nothing but an unethical cog in a giant scam wheel where international corporations and governments will profit off our loss of primary producing agricultural land. Where rural Australians suffer, these internationals will gain. How can this be allowed?

Why is our government forcing UNRELIABLE energy on our nation at the expense of rural Australia?!?

There needs to be an unbiased Royal Commission into the entirety of the renewable energy industry. Overlords are bullying rural Australians and taking our land.
Save our food producing land! Put these elsewhere! These projects are destroying rural Australia!!

This project is simply unsafe for the community, therefore I object to the Armidale BESS. The smoke and fire risk is significant; in the event of a fire, the smoke would be toxic for all surrounding humans, animals and nature. This is a project that is 100% reliable on the weather, and given the weather is unreliable, this form of energy and storage is also unreliable.

The community were NOT consulted when their region got rezoned to that of an industrial renewable energy zone. This was a biased process NOT in favour of the community.
