Official Caution issued to Armidale Regional Council (MP06_0220) Armidale Regional LGA
On 12 August 2025 NSW Planning issued an Official Caution to Armidale Regional Council for failing to conduct attended and unattended real time noise monitoring between 22 October 2020 and 29 September 2024 as required by the projects Noise Management Plan. Armidale Regional Council have since installed noise monitoring equipment as required by their Noise Management Plan.
Penalty Notice issued to Armidale Regional Council (MP06_0220) Armidale Regional LGA
On 18 September 2025, NSW Planning issued a $15,000 Penalty Notice to Armidale Regional Council for failing to implement the Conservation Management Plan which forms part of the Biodiversity Offset Management Plan for the Armidale Regional Landfill Facility (the project). Armidale Regional Council is required to undertake and provide an Annual Flora and Fauna Monitoring Report to NSW Planning. Armidale Regional Council has committed to conduct the required monitoring and update relevant management plans. NSW Planning will continue monitor the project to ensure ongoing compliance.
