These projects and infrastructures are ruining our communities and landscapes. Stop with the destruction.

It cannot be demonstrated that this project will not affect public health and safety, nor the harmony of surrounding land uses.

The fact is that so called ‘renewables’ will not bring enough energy to supply ordinary Australians. They have not been proven to deliver continuous supply.

I am very unhappy that there is no opportunity for open debate on this destructive energy depriving venture that will change the life of all Australians.

The fact is energy costs will rise for ordinary, already struggling householders.

Beryl BESS is a dreadful plan - designed to create toxic fires, deprive Australian people of power, cost us a motzer & never be cleaned up.

I Object to Beryl BESS because:-
* It is destructive to native flora and fauna;
* Construction will leave a legacy of land destruction that is unlikely to be rectified by the builder;
* It is an abomination on the natural landscape
* It is part of a system that costs billions, does not work reliably and attempts to solve a problem that does not exist, in other words useless and irresponsible use of public funds;
* All such infrastructures should be built at developer’s expense, NOT on public funds, we are told wind, solar & BESS are the cheapest, well prove it, remove all subsidises do not build this system on public funds;
* The TOTAL cost has not been verified by independent experts, (refer to cost overruns of most projects.)
* There is NO verified scientific basis for reduction of CO2 in the atmosphere so this project is a total waste of public money, along with all other such projects.  There is in fact reliable verifiable scientific proof that CO2 is beneficial to plant life and by extension to human life on earth.

Beryl’s incapable Battery Energy Storage System is an extremely destructive, disingenuous plan with a contaminating lifecycle that is not one bit clean, green or sustainable.
Being weather dependent is useless, only ensuring it will never provide reliable, cheap power on demand.
Australians need far superior 24/7 Australian power with a minimal environmental footprint.

Are renewables the best way to generate electricity for Australians & the use of battery energy storage systems. With so many fires caused by lithium batteries there has to be a better way. Considering the wealth of natural resources in this country clean coal or nuclear energy must be considered over environmental destroying renewable energy sources

The Beryl Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project, proposed for Gulgong, NSW, aims to store renewable energy generated by the adjacent Beryl Solar Farm, supporting grid reliability and addressing renewable energy intermittency. While the intention to support Australia's transition to renewable energy is commendable, a comprehensive analysis of the project reveals significant concerns regarding its environmental impact, compliance with legislative requirements, and potential threats to local communities, flora, and fauna.

Lithium battery storage facilities have already proven themselves to be unsafe, with fires occurring in at least 2 of the 3 (that I am aware of) major battery storage units in Australia.
The developer cannot guarantee the long term safety of such a facility nor can they ensure that the public will not be adversely affected by the use of such a facility.

The alternative is to construct proven safe, effective, cost effective and environmentally sound Nuclear power generation plants. Neither Battery storage nor power grid extensions will be required if nuclear power is inserted to the existing grid. The laws restricting nuclear power use in Australia CAN and MUST be changed.

I am writing to formally object to the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project (SSD-61460977) near my residence located at 148 Beryl Road, where I am identified as Receiver R-08. As a homeowner living only 550 metres from the project site, I have deep concerns about the adverse effects this project will have on my family's health and well-being, particularly my wife and 1-year-old son, who are at home more often than I am. I have attached my objection letter and queries.

I strongly object to this project for the health and safety of my son and his family who reside 540m from the proposed site. Please see attached submission.

This will not only be dangerous to our health and the environment, but also detrimental to small rural businesses and our economy. With farming operations closing down due to renewable energy taking over, our small community-based businesses will suffer, as we rely significantly on the agricultural industry; it is the backbone to our communities.
I object.

You are destroying all that we have and know here in rural NSW with renewable energy. Stop it now. When this goes up in flames, what will happen to the people of Gulgong?
