The proposal to establish a new entrance to the school via Masons Drive is a precipitous idea. Masons Drive already experiences significant congestion, and to put a further school entrance on that road will be incredibly problematic. The traffic will exceed the intersection and will add substantial time to entering and exiting the road.

To grant this proposal will be to preference one singular cohort at the expense of many others. It is unnecessary and will be very disruptive.

I encourage you to visit Masons Drive between 3-4pm, in particular 3:30-4pm, to see the current level of congestion before considering adding to it.

Whilst the whole document is all about stage 1 and development work carried out on the west side of King's School, the report failed to mention (from a holistic perspective) the other drop off point used by King's School students - Gowan Crescent, Carlingford. The increase in number of students that is mentioned in your report is more than likely to have an impact on the adjoining suburbs, specifically, roundabout at Kingsdene shops. Currently, the proliferation of 'P' plater cars parked along both side of Bettington Road is very noticeable. Nothing against 'P' plate drivers, but there is a groundswell of support from residents around this area who want to petition Parramatta Council to put parking restriction times on the area surrounding Kingsdene oval, Westminster Avenue, Felton Road and Bettington Road. Your net zero emission report is just short in addressing how much extra car trips the whole development (not just stage 1) is going to generate. Planting a few miserable trees is just a 'tick in the box' approach.
