Yet another foreign developer (who doesn't live in the country let alone within 50 km of the project!!) destroying the environment for profit. The only winner here will be the project owner who plans to profit when the sun goes down. Stop giving these scammers taxpayers money! We want 24/7 affordable electricity, not expensive toxic junk that will last maybe 10 years and then need replacement.

I am completely opposed to this horrible plan as the environmental footprint of industrial BESS are far greater than claimed as they’re toxic bombs with heavy metals, carcinogenic residues, fire-suppressant pollutants, and end-of-life waste that Australia cannot safely process.

No responsible energy system should compromise farmland, water resources, or national sovereignty when far superior, Australian Coal alternatives exist.

I completely object to this obnoxious Metlen BESS plan on the grounds that FIRE HAZARDOUS, FILTHY BESS are a toxic contaminating, poisonous curse to the public, will sterilise productive land, contaminate vital water sources, extensively harm biodiversity and burden communities with unmanageable hazardous smoke, chemical residue and toxic waste that cannot be economically recycled if ever that’s even possible.

There is a million and one reasons to object this but one massive one is the massive fire risk this brings to a small community that massive companies don't think or care about . We are just a number on a map that will make them money don't worry about the families , the native animals or anything else around it

Metlen’s menacing Denman BESS undermines national security by embedding foreign-controlled supply chains into critical infrastructure.
China’s unethically produced, industrialised solar, wind and battery junk is all toxic, insecure, fragile and incompatible with a strong, self-reliant Australia.
Reliable, Coal power that works 24/7 must remain the priority for stability, defence, and long-term prosperity.

I Object to this destructive, insecure and illogical plan on the following grounds:
• It is destructive to native flora and fauna;
• Construction will leave a legacy of land destruction that is unlikely to be rectified by the builder;
• It is an abomination on the natural landscape
• It is part of a system that costs billions, does not work reliably and attempts to solve a problem that does not exist, in other words useless and irresponsible use of public funds;
• All such infrastructures should be built at developer’s expense, NOT on public funds.
As we are told wind and solar are the cheapest, well prove it, remove all subsidises - do not build this system on public funds;
• The TOTAL cost has not been verified by independent experts;
• There is NO verified scientific basis for reduction of CO2 in the atmosphere so this project is a total waste of public money, along with all other such projects.  There is in fact reliable verifiable scientific proof that CO2 is beneficial to plant life and by extension to human life on earth.

Denman BESS is fundamentally incompatible with food and water security.
Industrial solar-battery complexes erode agricultural productivity, contaminate soil pathways, and introduce chemical threats that no farming region should ever be forced to endure.
Stable, base-load Australian coal energy protects agriculture — intermittent battery systems undermine it.

Message
Metlen’s Denman BESS plan is totally unacceptable as it exposes the region to hazardous materials, creates toxic waste liabilities, and undermines the stability of the national grid.
Countries reliant on battery-backed, intermittent solar/wind experience energy poverty and industrial decline.
Australia should not repeat their mistakes when better Australian power options like coal and future nuclear power exist.

We object to the Denman/Hunter area and everywhere else being sacrificed to the evil Climate Cult and its horrendous curse of ruinous, unethical slave labour produced, incapable and poisonous ‘renewable’ rubbish - like Metlen’s extremely fire hazardous, irreversibly contaminating Denman BESS which will inevitably create unacceptable exposure to chemical hazards, airborne toxins, and Grid harming electrical instability.

The Solar, Wind, Battery quango results in loss of agricultural land, contaminated water, ever escalating power costs, grid fragility and control by China.

Every jurisdiction that has stupidly stopped using their own plentiful , base-load energy resources for delusional, ideological reasons - instead adopting the ruin-a-bull swindle, has completely failed to have a reliable, affordable, secure electricity system.
Australia needs to return to sanity fast and dump the uni-party and their vile, imported Trogan Horse.

Metlen’s toxic proposal must be rejected as it contradicts every principle of responsible energy planning:
👉🏻It replaces secure, domestic baseload Power that works on demand with hazardous, short-lived battery stockpiles, intermittent output, and foreign-dependency.
👉🏻Independent analysis shows these projects undermine productivity, damage landscapes, contaminate soil and water and impose enduring toxic waste burdens.

This toxic Denman BESS plan threatens community health, agricultural land, and ecological integrity through its concentration of volatile chemicals and fire-prone materials.

Intermittent generation is incompatible with the needs of industry, hospitals, and essential services.

Australia must strengthen — not weaken — its own baseload power foundation.

Many worries exist about water contamination, soil disturbance, and habitat loss for endangered flora. Noise from the BESS may also affect residents. How can the Commission approve this project without clear decommissioning obligations?

Message
I am concerned about noise and its effect on both residents and wildlife. The BESS could disrupt endangered vegetation and alter natural water flows, including areas critical for irrigation. How can the IPCN approve this project when there is no clear plan for decommissioning and land rehabilitation? What is the proposed generation against the actual?

I am worried about potential environmental impacts, including water contamination, vegetation loss, and disturbance to endangered flora. Noise from the BESS may also affect residents. Who will ensure proper decommissioning. most communities are steam rolled over their concern brushed aside.

1. Visual Impact
We are concerned the glare from the solar panels could impact our view and impose on our 3 residential properties on our land.
2. Land Value
We are concerned due to the visual impact and interference from the panels this could affect our land value and future sale.

Who will be legally responsible for removing the installation and restoring the land decades from now, and can the Commission provide assurance that this will not fall to the community? who will fund this. All sources say recycling can happen it just isn't coat effective and therefore wont happen
