There are major safety issues with such a large number of truck movements per day with two schools and a sport precinct on Sheraton Road where these trucks will be travelling.
If there is an intention of using the newly developed Boundary Road when it connects to Sheraton Road this feeds into a residential area, will create traffic safety issues, truck noise too early with the plan to start at 7am Monday to Saturday with an Aged Care facility on Wheelers Lane and an over 55’s Lakeview village on Boundary Road. The hours of operation need to be shortened and number of trucks per day should be much less frequent.

Greetings, Legislation came into effect on 1 December 2019 that brings Roads & Maritime Services and Transport for NSW together into one organisation. A single submission will be put forward from the new organisation.
In this instance, the combined TfNSW Response will be uploaded to the Major Projects Planning Portal from the former RMS Major Projects account by the Western Region and Outer Metropolitan team. Please withdraw this referral from the [email protected] account and let me know if you have any question.
Sincerely, Robert Rutledge, Transport Planning Manager Transport for NSW

Continuation of dubbo quarry should not go ahead. Reasons are significant trucks & dog traffic, noise, dust pollution/ disturbance. We recently bought a new home in southlakes. We don't want to see the heavy haulage next to us all day. Nobody wants to buy home from us due to heavy haulage all day. Hence property prices will decrease. Road safety is a biggest concern too. Dubbo quarry road comes on the way of very prominant/ prestigeous three schools, on sheraton road, dubbo's only sports world is next to christian school. There is significant road traffic in school zones during morning and afternoon. Quarry trucks makes it worse. Thus there are many reasons why this quarry lease should not go ahead. I would rather see it moving elsewhere out of residencial area. Me and my family have great concerns if this project would go ahead.Hereby i strongly oppose the continuation of this project.
