My objection to the project is based on Safety concerns. The potentially significant increase in Large Vehicle Numbers that would impact traffic conditions on Gibson Avenue is quite frankly unacceptable. Padstow North Public School is only approximately 500 Metres from the corner of Gow St & Gibson Ave. Any increase in the number of Large Vehicles moving along Gibson Ave will have the potential to put the safety of the students, parents & teachers at greater risk. The fact that all the streets feeding into Gibson Ave DO NOT currently have Roundabouts will also increase the potential for Motor Vehicle Accidents due to an increase in Traffic Conditions. Should the project be given the go ahead I would recommend that all streets feeding into Gibson Ave be installed with Roundabouts as well as a number of additional Road Crossings for the length of Gibson Ave.
