This development creates an intergenerational burden. Benefits are immediate while risks persist for decades. Future communities inherit contamination without having consented to it.
How is consent meaningful when those affected do not yet exist?

The proposal underplays uncertainty around battery ageing. Chemical instability increases over time, elevating fire and contamination risk. This trajectory is not adequately reflected in the assessment.
How can approval rely on assumptions about materials that degrade unpredictably over decades? Who will be responsible if the land is deemed to be too contaminated for food production?

This POISONOUS RUIN-A-BULL RUBBISH entrenches energy feudalism, where citizens pay ever-higher bills for a pathetic, energy depriving, CCP reliant electricity system that is unreliable, insecure, unaffordable and deliberately overcomplicated & stupid to justify endless fake green gravy train subsidies.

This is a scam.
This BESS will be toxic to the environment, have a short life span and be an enormous fire danger.
Nothing in this project is clean or green.
Stop wrecking our environment.

Thermal runaway, toxic waste, short life span, designed to game the electricity market at consumers expense, slave labour used in the mining of resources for the BESS, not in the public interest. Developers scamming tax payers and electricity consumers.

Besides the lethal effects of hazardous Lithium-ion Battery Fires irreversibly poisoning the Public, biodiversity, the soil and water, Lithium-ion batteries pose a chronic low-level contamination risk even without fires, through leaks, venting, corrosion, and degradation—slowly poisoning land and water without triggering any emergency response.
No one would plan or approve such a toxic contaminating disaster like this Molong BESS unless they had treacherous, evil motives to harm the Australian people and future generations.
NEW RELIABLE, AFFORDABLE, SECURE, 24/7 AUSTRALIAN HELE COAL POWER THAT WORKS ON DEMAND WITH FREE SYNCHRONOUS INERTIA = ENERGY SECURITY and NATIONAL SECURITY = NO HOSTILE ENEMY RELIANT, FAKE GREEN, UNETHICAL, CCP BATTERY = NO UNNECESSARY NEW ACCESS ROAD = NO UNNECESSARY 900m TRANSMISSION LINE - that we’d all be ripped off for by PREDATORY TRANSGRID who’re in COURT for all their DIABOLICAL BROKEN HILL FAILURES - which is just the start of this dodgy parasite’s INEVITABLE IMPLOSION!!

Molong Battery is nothing but all bad news!
Instead of reducing risk—it concentrates it, creating a single point of catastrophic failure with tragic consequences far exceeding those of sensible, cheap, reliable, efficient, secure traditional COAL power infrastructure.

The Fire suppression system for this BESS is experimental, unproven, and frequently fails, yet approval authorities pretend theoretical controls are equivalent to real-world safety.
Molong BESS plan shows “a lack of care that demonstrates reckless disregard for the safety or lives of others, which is so great it appears to be a conscious violation of other people's rights to safety.”

Molong’s typically unethical, CCP reliant BESS exposes Australia to foreign coercion, as battery software, components, and replacement parts remain subject to external political pressure and supply chain manipulation.

Molong BESS is a deceptive and dangerous plan.
Even the claim that it supports “net zero” is intellectually dishonest, as it ignores embedded emissions, shipping emissions, and coal-fired manufacturing overseas.
Get back to commonsense Coal before you dumb losers irreparably stuff Australia!

I have a personal and a professional connection with many in the Molong community.
There is low awareness and little understanding amongst the community of Molong regarding the proposal for a Battery Energy Storage System in Molong. As a medical practitioner, I object to the Molong Battery Energy Storage System application on public health and medical safety grounds. I am concerned that the proposal presents insufficiently addressed risks of acute and delayed health harm associated with lithium-ion battery fires. Thermal runaway events are known to release toxic gases including hydrogen fluoride, carbon monoxide, and other irritant and asphyxiant compounds. Inhalation exposure may result in chemical pneumonitis, delayed pulmonary oedema, and severe exacerbations of asthma and chronic respiratory disease. The proposed location in a regional setting raises further concern regarding the capacity for timely emergency response, prolonged fire suppression, evacuation of vulnerable populations, and medical management of toxic inhalation injuries. Battery energy storage fires can burn for extended periods, increasing the likelihood of downwind exposure to residents and first responders. The environmental impact assessments broadly and specifically do not adequately address the serious case health outcomes, plume dispersion uncertainty, or the burden placed on local health and emergency services. These risks may be considered low-frequency however they are of a Highland serious - consequence and warrant a precautionary approach. Independent public health and medical risk assessment should be required prior to determination, and that approval should not be granted in the absence of clear, enforceable mitigation measures addressing inhalation risk and emergency medical response. The potential for irreversible injury or loss of life from toxic exposure, even in a single incident, represents an unacceptable risk in a non-industrial regional community.

This infrastructure is too dangerous to the neighbouring properties and communities. BESS factories and overhead transmission lines are a significant fire risk. BESS factories cause significant noise pollution. Stop destroying rural land and landscapes with these toxic and destructive projects. I object to this project.

I would like to begin by acknowledging the farmers of the land within our great nation of Australia today. I pay my respects to Australia’s past, present and future farmers who have and will continue to battle setbacks such as renewable energy destruction, drought, floods, vermin plagues, diseases, and government policy, all so they can provide Australia with food and fibre. I acknowledge that these setbacks come at a high price of mental health, and many have taken their lives as a result due to such pressures. I extend this respect and am thankful for the sacrifices those within the agricultural industry make in order to provide Australia with the essentials; I acknowledge the agricultural industry as the backbone of our nation
We need to unite and fight these developers and the Australian government for forcing this upon us.
I object because this project will cause permanent toxic damage to the natural environment and impact those around it. There will be too many toxic chemicals and EMF entering the landscapes and environment as a result of this project.

I object to the Molong BESS project, new transmission and new access road.
Why is our government forcing FIRE HAZARDOUS infrastructure and UNRELIABLE energy on our nation at the expense of rural Australia?!?
Save the land that supports and produces food and fibre for Australia. Put these elsewhere! Stop bowing down and bending over to the EVIL powers of the WEF.
These projects are destroying rural Australia and will send future generations broke!!

This battery energy storage system and new transmission lines are a major fire risk and will put significant strain on local and rural firefighting services. These local firefighting services are not equipped with the resources or man-power to manage emergency fires for when they do break out at this site. Why should the broader community risk their lives and step up to fight fires for infrastructure that they never wanted there in the first place?

BESS is dangerous and brings hazards to the project and community.
The noises from this BESS project will have negative impacts on the nearby livestock and wildlife. These impacts will be evident in not only everyday life for the animals, but also during breeding and birthing cycles. BESS carries significant fire risk. The proposal of new transmission lines bring significant EMF hazards and as such, should not go ahead.
