Penalty Notice issued to Logos Property Holdings Pty Ltd (SSD-7155 as modified, Liverpool City LGA)
On 5 October 2020, the Department issued a $15,000 Penalty Notice to Logos Property Holdings Pty Ltd (LOGOS) in relation to the Prestons Industrial Estate development. LOGOS failed to comply with a condition of consent requiring them to complete intersection upgrade works at Bernera Rd and Yarrunga Street, Prestons, prior to stage 3 of the project becoming operational. The condition was required as the predicted traffic generated by the project is significant, and completion of the intersection upgrade works will improve road safety. LOGOS has since taken steps to finalise a voluntary planning agreement with the Liverpool City Council to complete the upgrades.

I object to this development proposal, due to the following Factors
Excess noise pollution 24 Hours A day
Air pollution smog and dust
Traffic congestion
Kurrajong road has become a major corridor not only for cars but trucks also, which bring along with them so much noise pollution that it makes it hard to sleep currently there are nights when the children wake up from the noise of trucks, I am but 10-20 metres away from the road with no adequate noise barrier (made of Hebel) to reduce any noise. this development will bring further trucks via kurrajong road coming from Cowpastures road, this will bring poor air quality, and traffic congestion to an already congested road during peak hour traffic. only it will always be congested 24 hours a day.
I object to kurrajong road being a corridor for these trucks I object to the warehouse being a 24 hour warehouse/ frankly I object to the entire proposal this land should be used for residential purpose only and I only want to see trucks coming from the M7 on to Bernera road with stricter signage forcing a detour.
No consideration has been given to the residents who paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to have a peaceful quite home to live in, in the residential part of Prestons, this proposal will devalue all those homes in close proximity to the proposed development.
I expect my proposal to be taken into consideration, I DO not want to see this proposal go ahead, the only proposal I would like to see is the development of the land to residential properties and the complete detour of trucks 3ton and over to come in via M7 for all current destinations or Hoxton park road.
regards,
