As discussed with Ben Eveleigh I wish to highlight potential, almost certain, construction traffic issues on Avon Road. Currently parking on both sides of Avon Road (East-West portion towards Avondale Golf Club) allow small vehicles to pass each other but trucks >3t can not generally pass any other vehicle.
A solution would be to prohibit parking on the southern (PLC) side of Avon Road during normal working hours for the duration of the construction. Clearly PLC ,should be required to provide alternate parking for their staff and students who otherwise park on Avon Road.

I would ask PLC to please consider the effect of added heavy vehicles and increased cars on Avon Road and access roads during the construction period. Already Avon Road suffers from potential accident risks everyday as cars park on both sided of the road making it impossible for two cars to pass safely. With the added load of construction vehicles this will make Avon Road very dangerous to all who use the road.
I would strongly request provision be made during working hours for one side of the road to be rendered free of parking. Perhaps year 11 and 12 students could be encouraged to use public transport during the construction period as well.
