The foreign developer states that this project has the potential to power more than 26,000 homes. Yet there are no details on the following:
*for how long these 26,000 homes will be powered from this battery
*can these homes rely on this BESS to supply them with power or is it dependent on the weather being just right (not too hot, not too cloudy, not too windy, no wind droughts)
*whether any of these 26,000 homes already have their own rooftop solar and possibly their own domestic battery.
*will diesel generators be supplying power to the batteries
*will diesel generators be used to ensure the batteries are always kept cool
*where is the land fill for the obsolete batteries
*what chemicals will leach from the landfill
*at end of life (10 years) will the project have been flipped to another foreign developer who will not be found for the clean up?

Was it AI that gave them the magic number of 26,000 homes?

This project will be a fire risk, a source of contamination to the environment and contribute to the industrialisation of the landscape. Will the energy consumer have cheap reliable power? or is this simply about the project owner being able to game the energy market and profit from government schemes funded by taxpayers?

This is not about saving the environment this project and its associated project will destroy the environment.
