The creek on the north side of the Water Treatment Plant site currently relies on seepage from the site to maintain a trickle flow. The seepage has continued for around 70 years (since the reservoir was constructed) and has modified the downstream habitat. There is a rare freshwater crab in the creek as well as numerous frogs and a wetland near the culvert under Rushforth Road. If the project alters seepage from the site there may be a loss of the crab's habitat. I request the project considers requiring trickle flow to be maintained to the creek to maintain the existing habitat.
