hi,with all the dangers of battery explosions/ leaking contaminants occurring, what research has been done for the dangers of these batteries. It is not just physical leakage BUT ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION AND LEAKAGE. What research or study has been done by scientists who are independent and a 3rd party to this business wanting to install the batteries. Of course Iberdrola will say its safe. Like all companies that want to push their product, irrespective of the dangers, whose eye is on the financial prize. These board of directors/owners dont live in Smithfield. Thus they dont care of the health concerns. The only health that they care about is the health of their bottom line, irrespective of the effects others will suffer. My home is in close proximity to 6 Herbert place and I have grave concerns to this project.
1) where are the studies on EMF and radiation and leakages from these batteries?
2) if there are, who paid for these studies? where is the independant research?
3) are there any test cases and evidence that all is well and safe with these batteres?
4) the world has gone mad to " save the planet because of 'climate change' ", but is happy to let humanity suffer in the process.
The idea of battery storage facility is a great idea, but out in the woods away from people. Not in the thick of western sydney where thousands of families can and will be affected. Im not against the idea IF IT'S SAFE, but has enough been done independently. Just to be sure, these projects should be away from people until a period of time where we can be assured all is well and then introduced, possibly, among humanity. Its not essential to have the storage facility next to people. It can be stored
many kilometres away and the electricity transferred when needed. Big corporations get away with so much at the expense of humanity because they are $$$ driven. Sad but true. I understand that business need to be profitable and sustainable BUT AT WHAT EXPENSE. IT SEEMS HUMANITY'S HEALTH IS ALWAYS THE VICTIM. I hope that those who are observing this and approving it will at least demand for INDEPENDANT and TRANSPERANT research before approving this. Our health/safety is in your hands. A final thought, there's no point arguing lets save the environment when humanity/people suffer in the process.
May your conscious rise to the occasion and do whats right and healthy.
May the Holy Spirit guide you in your decision making process.
God Bless

I object because these projects are too damaging to the communities, landscapes, environment and animals. what happens when they catch fire? Not only are they dangerous, they are an absolute eye-sore. Let's put these in Canberra or closer to the cities; so all the NIMBYs can marvel at what their vote has given them.

i object to this project. Renewable energy is too unreliable for Australia. More research needs to take place for a better solution.
