Fire Safety Order issued to Lowy Packer Building at the Victor Chang Research Institute, 405 Liverpool Street, Darlinghurst NSW 2010 (MP05_0050) City of Sydney LGA

On 18 January 2022, the Department issued a Fire Safety Order to the owners of the Lowy Packer Building at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute, 405 Liverpool Street, Darlinghurst NSW, to install a series of fire safety measures in addition to those existing in order to enhance the evacuation procedures of the building. This is a research facility with no sedated or non- ambulatory patients. The owners are required to implement the measures and provide an inspection report issued by an accredited certifier, certifying that the measures and method of installation comply with the Building Code of Australia.

UPDATE: June 2022 – the works required under this order have now been completed
