Waterloo Metro Quarter - Northern Precinct

Replacement of commercial/business spaces for student housing is not acceptable, in our view. It would provide nothing for our local community, even not providing accommodation for locals. Plus we do not need more students and more buses as we are chocking already from 392 buses for students.
Also, about excellence of design, it should not be like in the South Perenct- cold and sterile, looks stagnant and doesn't fit with the historic ara. The concept of excellence there is false.
Heavy bus traffic for students should not cross quet Heritage area such along Raglan street, which distroys people's lives.

Whilst I support the project, I would like to see an increase in the number of storeys as well as units set aside for public housing as well as essential workers.

We object to replacing commercial tower with yet more units. We don't want a sea of apartments and nothing else. People need jobs to pay their mortgages. We have enough oversees students here, the 392 bus goes 200 times per day to take them to the UNSW in front of our doors in Raglan street, no life left for us, long term local residents. There should be no heavy bus traffic across the Heritage area in Raglan Street.
Also, the design quality should be better than what has being already built in the South Precinct - grey boxes with no imagination.
The issues of jobs for people, heavy traffic diversion and quality design should not be compromised.

We welcome the ambition for a well-connected, transit-oriented precinct. However, we raise equity, governance, and technical concerns that must be addressed to ensure genuine community benefit—particularly for the public housing tenants living directly adjacent to the site.
