Dear to whom it may concern,

I have been living in Burwood for more than a decade and the place used to be smooth and peaceful with less high apartments. Traffic was not an issue and there were less accidents. However, the past year had gotten worse, especially this year due to the heavy traffic on the roads and especially on Conder Street and Belmore St during peak hours. Just going from one block to the other block took more than half an hour. There are limited parking spots and cars are heavy trying to find parking around the areas. We already have high raised apartments around the area, which created more cars wanting to enter and come out of apartments. Plus they are next to the public areas like the library, schools and shopping centres. This create a higher demand of people wanting to get to places. I object to the project of demolition the existing structures to making it even higher as this will create a heavier traffic and difficulties to getting into and out of apartment/s. It also created an unsafe environment for people to cross the roads.

Please consider the life of people living in the area and for visitors. Burwood is a popular place and already have lots of apartments. I believe it is enough to stop making more due to small area. It is better to build somewhere else that is more spacious and to attract people to visit other places which will bring valve to other local areas.

My support is given to the proposed 21-storey development within Burwood. The proposal demonstrates a high standard of architectural design, provides much-needed affordable housing, and benefits from a highly accessible location close to public transport, shops, services and employment opportunities. The development will also contribute to increased housing supply and provide a greater range of housing choices within the local area.

having the viewed the proposed development i fully support this type of density and height of building in the town centre of burwood , it is great to see quality developments of this nature , having worked as a real estate agent for the last 40 years in burwood i have seen burwood grow into a beautiful vibrant town centre , the affordable housing component will be a great asset for this area .

The proposal for 17–19 and 21 Conder Street seeks to increase the permitted height from the current 15 m to approximately 76 m, which is completely inconsistent with the Burwood Development Control Plan (DCP). The existing streetscape is intentionally low‑rise, forming a transition zone that protects sunlight access for Conder Street. The DCP’s height‑gradient maps and section diagrams clearly show that this area was deliberately planned to remain low in scale, yet the proposal attempts to reclassify it to a height normally reserved for the Burwood Town Centre.

The developer's documentation contains significant intentional omissions and inaccurate statements. There is no proper shadow analysis, despite the developer claiming that overshadowing impacts are acceptable. Their diagrams also incorrectly depict the site as part of the Burwood Town Centre, which is misleading and contradicts the DCP. Even the developer’s own visual models and shadow illustrations show that the tower would cause substantial additional overshadowing and visual intrusion compared to surrounding buildings.

Overall, the proposal is an extreme departure from the planned character of the area and absolutely goes against the intention of the Burwood Development Control Plan. So the rezoning request should be rejected.

The proposed project requires that the current building height of the site within the Burwood Local Environment Plan 2012 of 15 metres be amended to become 76 metres. I am opposed to this proposal which is an EXCESSIVE 407 PERCENT increase from its current zoning guidelines. I object to this project and I do not support this rezoning proposal.

The surrounding roads within our viccinity already crowded with vehicles (especially worse on the weekend) currently visiting Burwood town centre, the proposed project is just going to add to the problem the current residents within the viccinity are facing. The current development at Burwood Place already started to impact existing residents in term of noise and dust and crowd in the near foressable future, this proposed project is just going to add to the pain existing residents are facing.

Very good location and excellent to see good design.
Happy to see better buildings than the previoulsy built in Burwood.
