Cant believe this project is even being considered the lake is a beautiful place for families recreation and tourist attraction if this is to go through the destruction of the environment and the rick to native flora and fauna is immense

This submission supports the project in principle as a long-term energy concept with the potential to maintain the relevance of power generation at the Mount Piper Power Station within the Seven Valleys region; however, it raises concerns regarding the assessment and management of site-specific environmental and community impacts as currently presented in the EIS. The EIS does not yet provide sufficient clarity to support a fully informed assessment, and key areas require further refinement to strengthen confidence in the proposed environmental management framework. While approximately 63–68 mitigation measures are identified—reflecting the scale and complexity of potential impacts on the environment and the immediate community—these measures are dispersed across a fragmented and uneven framework, making it difficult to assess their completeness and consistency. This, in turn, constrains the ability to clearly link identified impacts to specific mitigation commitments and limits confidence in the adequacy and enforceability of the proposed mitigation approach, particularly when balancing these impacts against the stated benefits of the proposal.
