When will the NSW Government prioritise the electricity consumer and the environment over foreign developers? Is the plan to rubber stamp the development now and then manage the harms later? Or not at all?

There will be no direct financial relief for locals or indeed any electricity consumer in NSW. This project enables the developer to access taxpayer funded subsidies and then game the electricity market for profit. Being a foreign company the profit does not get taxed in Australia. There is zero benefit to Australians, let alone the community, for this project.

This project will be lucky to last 10 years, yet the toxic legacy will remain in perpetuity. Unrecyclable components, toxic runoff to soil and waterways, toxic air in the event of a thermal runaway event.

The whole RenewaBULL SWINDLE including this Ticking Time Bomb BESS ignores Grid Security and National Energy Resilience.

We object that there has been no due diligence and no thorough examination of the plethora of life threatening risks by the authoritarian government.

Reliance on incapable, insecure, China reliant large-scale battery infrastructure introduces extreme system vulnerabilities.

Critical Electricity infrastructure requires immediate assessment by ASIO of National Security risks and independent expert analysis of multiple failure scenarios, very real threats to human life, bad actor replacement requirements and long-term resilience.

This project is only for the benefit of the foreign owned developer. Stop spending our money building toxic waste in our environment that enables the developer to game the electricity market at OUR expense.

This project will lead to water contamination, persistent noise pollution, loss of agricultural land, strain volunteer emergency services, increase fire risk, thermal runaway, and increase toxic land fill.

Foreign owned, foreign controlled, taxpayer funded and never able to be fully decommissioned or components fully recycled.
Risks include thermal runaway - resulting a fire that cannot be extinguished. During a fire toxic gas will engulf the community. Local Firefighters are volunteers: not equipped, trained or paid to deal with this hazard. Stop destroying the environment!

This obnoxious BESS plan totally lacks reputable, independent verification of the proponent’s claims.

We object that reliance on consultant reports commissioned by the proponent does not provide adequate community confidence where significant risks have not been diligently researched at all.

Independent Expert Peer Review must be required for critical safety, environmental and emergency management matters.

The Agricultural and regional character assassination this filthy BESS would cause is disgusting!
Nobody wants predatory parasites dumping their POISONOUS RUIN-A-BULL JUNK everywhere!

The community must not be expected to absorb such horrendous landscape changes and contamination disasters like this when it’s all pain and no gain - with no public benefit.

This project is wholly owned by a South Korean multinational. Where will they be when the project needs to be decommissioned? What landfill will be used for BESS components? What funds is this Foreign owned multinational receiving from Australian Taxpayers to build this hazardous and toxic BESS? This project is not in the Public Interest.

I object to the toxic battery energy storage system in our area because these batteries contain forever chemicals and if caught on fire with high temperatures in our area the fire burns for days and all the pollutants will cover homes and farmland for miles with toxic filth filling our air and earth for generations to come. Causing future cancer and disease.

We object to this non-sensical, unclean, unethical and totally irresponsible proposal as it fails to protect Intergenerational Equity and adhere to the Precautionary Principle.

Current decisions must protect environmental quality for future generations.
Long-term, irreversible toxic impacts, liabilities and irreversible changes to land use have not been factually considered.

I Object on the following grounds:
• It is destructive to native flora and fauna and harmful to the public;
• Construction will leave a legacy of land destruction that is unlikely to be rectified by the builder;
• It is an abomination on the natural landscape;
• It is part of a system that costs billions, does not work reliably and attempts to solve a problem that does not exist, in other words useless and irresponsible use of public funds;
• All such infrastructures should be built at developer’s expense, NOT on public funds. We are told wind and solar are the cheapest, well prove it, remove all subsidises - do not build this system on public funds;
• The TOTAL cost has not been verified by independent experts;
• There is NO verified scientific basis for reduction of CO2 in the atmosphere so this project is a total waste of public money, along with all other such projects.  There is in fact reliable verifiable scientific proof that CO2 is beneficial to plant life and by extension to human life on earth.
