Objection as per attachment

It compromises gliding safety at the Narromine airport. The applicants study which focused on GA operations seems to have downplayed the fact that 95% of operations at this airfield are gliding related. The wind turbines are in fact huge, can be up to 800 feet above the ground and this is extremely intimidating for glider pilots, in fact any pilot in the circuit area for the airport.

Stop wrecking our homes and our land.

Yet another foreign company trashing our environment. This foreign company not only seeks to destroy our land and farm taxpayers subsidies they now also get favourable (compared to Australia taxpayers) CGT discounts when they flip the project.

Noted on the plethora of consultants on this EIS is the local from Wellington, who is a Dubbo Regional Councillor. How does this pass the pub test? Trashed their own backyard now benefiting from the destruction of agricultural land elsewhere.

We all know this project won't stop at 38 turbines. The destruction will continue.

I wonder if the land hosts have worked out yet that they run the risk of losing their primary production status?

The risk to the neighbours is BPA from leading edge erosion spread over their land, livestock, pasture and crops. There are unacceptable negative impact to local aerial operators and farmers wishing to take part in aerial baiting, culling, agricultural applications.

Gliding Australia is opposed to the current proposal for the Wallaby Creek Wind Farm.
The Aviation Impact Assessment is seriously flawed and has not been inclusive.
Gliding Australia wishes to be consulted on the flaws and omissions in the Aviation Impact Statement.

To Whom it may Concern,
My direction to this submission is to formally object, with respect, to the proposed Wallaby Creek Wind Farm development on the concern of Aviation safety. As a frequent user of the Narromine Airport I feel aviation operations of all nature will be impacted.
My major concerns;- The close proximity to the Narromine Airport of the vertical structure, with major concerns of the WMT's which could impede LSALT particularly for a VFR pilot remaining within VMC. Also the wires supporting the WMT's are a very significant concern to any pilot on a decent approach or climb out. The location and life of the WMT's appears unclear in the Aviation Projects Document and in my mind as a pilot would be the most significant factor pertaining to high risk to Aviation.
Also I would like to point out and also recognize the number of aircraft collisions with a WTG or a WMT in Australia over the past 10 years is nil as stated in the Accidents Statistics report. It is also very fair to comment that over the past ten years Wind Farm Projects are increasing dramatically and in areas that are not particularly compatible with aviation operations.
Other concerns.
1. human factors . Increased workload for the pilot
2. agricultural and low level operations such as fire bombing
3.forced landings such as engine failures
4.turbines creating wake turbulence
5. visibility particularly to the horizon in any weather.
6. lighting has social impacts as well as impacts to IFR and night rated pilots
7.weather is only a forecast which pilots monitor however weather variability is paramount
I sincerely hope that aviation safety and the future proofing of our beautiful airport at Narromine, with its rich historical heritage, is taken into well thought consideration in the decision making of the Wallaby Creek Wind Farm proposal.
