The residential buildings near the site are subject to intense vibrations from the large machinery being used on site every day. Every day, my windows rattle and my furniture shakes from the vibration. I am woken up at least once a week by multiple intense shakes. The vibration levels are extremely uncomfortable and disruptive to my time at home while there is work happening.

The vibration levels should be reviewed to make sure they are safe for the age of the surrounding buildings and also within comfort level for living.
The dilapidation reports performed on the buildings in August 2025 should be issued to the corresponding owners corporations as no record of this report was received, even for those that requested it.

I support the project, I believe it will significantly improve housing affordability and availability in the area.

I would however like to see the number of units and storeys significantly increased as well as units set aside for essential workers

I have concerns on how high the apartment structure will be. I believe that having the apartment buildings too high will obstruct the view of the surrounding apartments including blocking them to have any sunshine. I feel that all the trees will be taken away in the area so that this structure can exist or the park will be made smaller. The height should be the same as the surrounding dwellings, so it fits in with how the area currently looks instead of looking out of place. My concerns also include the congestion of people and traffic that it will bring to Eastlakes, my concerns include over population of the area,noise concerns of too many people and too much traffic. Currently at night and early morning, there is already people walking the streets at all hours, yelling and carrying on. The public transport situation will also raise a concern, if more people are living in Eastlakes then a majority of them will take public transport to work etc on a daily basis, which will then make buses too full and at the moment it is not easy to access certain areas that are close to Eastlakes as is, for example a bus to Eastgardens is on an infrequent timetable or you have to catch two buses just to get to somewhere that is usually a 10 minute drive away with a car. Street parking is already a nightmare in the area especially on weekends.

I would like to understand what review has taken place ensuring that the local infrastructure can support the addition of ~700 more residential apartments.

There are already bottlenecks in traffic trying to leave the area of a morning and this will only make local traffic worse.

Further have you investigated the impact on Jack Mundy reserve having such a tall building positioned just off.

Or the loss of natural light to all buildings located on the western side of the proposed project or the current sewage system which seems to flood or not be able to support medium to heavy amounts of rain with flooding on Barber ave

How are you going to solve the traffic challenges around peak times? It is a problem now and will get worse if something is not done?

Dear Bayside Council,

I am writing to express my concerns regarding the large-scale residential tower developments proposed for Eastlakes.

I want to make it clear that I am not opposed to development or growth. I understand that Sydney needs more housing and that redevelopment is important. However, I believe the scale of the current developments is excessive for Eastlakes and is not in keeping with the character of the suburb.

Eastlakes has traditionally been a low-rise, community-focused suburb with open spaces and a quieter atmosphere. The construction of numerous high-rise residential towers will fundamentally change the identity and character of the area, removing much of what makes Eastlakes an attractive place to live.

My greatest concern is that the existing infrastructure is simply not equipped to support such a significant increase in population. Unlike many other high-density suburbs, Eastlakes does not have a train station or other high-capacity public transport. As a result, many residents rely on private vehicles. Increasing the population through multiple high-rise developments will inevitably place greater pressure on already congested roads, increase traffic, and worsen the ongoing shortage of parking.

Before approving developments of this scale, I urge the Council to carefully consider whether the supporting infrastructure—including transport, roads, parking, schools, healthcare, and other community services—can adequately accommodate the projected population growth. Development should occur in a balanced and sustainable way, rather than outpacing the infrastructure needed to support it.

I respectfully ask the Council to reconsider the scale of these developments and to prioritise planning that preserves the character of Eastlakes while ensuring that infrastructure improvements keep pace with future growth.

I prefer the site of the Eastlakes Shopping Centre being redeveloped. But we need to address the infrastructure around it. There doesn’t seem to be any planning for the influx of vehicles that the new development will certainly bring. At present the roads are all skinny and the highway and Wentworth make it hard to access the area as is. We have multiple bottlenecks getting into and out of the area already, a massive increase of vehicular traffic will obviously exacerbate this situation. Access to and from the area using public transportation isn’t great, therefore residents of the new development will need cars to get around Sydney easily. As I initially stated, I am for the redevelopment of the area, but I feel the issue of traffic congestion needs to be addressed

I support the Eastlakes redevelopment in principle (though the design lacks character), but I am deeply concerned about its impact on local traffic.
The surrounding highways and golf courses mean Eastlakes has very few exit routes. As a resident at the corner of Maloney Street and Gardeners Road, I frequently witness gridlock and near-misses. By 7:30 AM daily, traffic is already backed up along Maloney Street, Evans Avenue, and Racecourse Place for access to Gardeners Road. Injecting over 700 new apartments into this bottleneck will create a traffic disaster.
Public transport is not a realistic solution here. Eastlakes lacks direct access to the Metro, light rail, or train networks. For many, including myself, commuting by public transport takes over three times longer than driving (e.g., a 20-minute drive versus a 75-minute trip involving three buses).
To avoid repeating the infrastructure failures seen in areas like Zetland, Marsden Park, Box Hill, and Riverstone, I request that planners urgently consider and construct new route options from Eastlakes onto Gardeners Road.

I really look forward to seeing how far the project goes. And I am hoping that there are also great food options nearby too, such as the following:

To whom it may concern
I object to the Project on the grounds that it is too big for the Area in its scope. I am not in objecting to a Project on the land just the size. The Local Roads cannot cope with the added amount of Traffic that will be generated in the Area. Parking in the Area is virtually impossible now.
Public Transportation is at capacity in the area with Student going to Local Schools and UNSW.
The Roads leading in and out of the Area are at capacity during Peak even with a Clearway in force at certain times of the day.
When Clearways are not in force Gardeners Rd can be at a Standstill from Racecourse Rd to Botany Rd.
