I am writing to express my strong objection to the concept proposal for 11-19 Middle Harbour Road, SSDa 82900461..
I consider the proposal to be grossly out of proportion to the surrounding future development along the southern side of Middle Harbour Road , as proposed by Ku-ring-gai council's alternative TOD and currently awaiting gazettal. What's more, it is plonked next to the single story heritage item at no.9 Middle Harbour Rd which will be unfairly dwarfed while any comparable large development along the eastern side of the site (eg. nos 21 - 23) is unlikely to take place due to riparian zone issues running through these two neighbouring properties. Indeed, Landmark itself may have been uninterested in expanding their enterprise to include 23 Middle harbour Rd, full knowing the issues that such a a riparian corridor could bring. Thus, the 3D drawing, Drawing No. DA 205, which shows a building of similar size at these addresses appears to be misleading. .
I will only give a mention of the clear destruction of amenity to be suffered by neighbouring properties on both sides of the proposed building as others will no doubt detail this in some depths.
In conclusion I request that such a proposal not be progressed any further in its present form as it is incompatible with present and future surroundings.
