What a wonderful location for high density development. Walk to the new Metro station as well as heavy rail, and a major bus interchange. Road connection via Pacific Highway complete the transportation picture.

Ready access to numerous major retail and educational facilities make this project extremely meritorious. I strongly support this project.

The project is construction-ready, with early works already completed under an existing approval. Located in the heart of the Chatswood CBD, it offers convenient access to employment, shopping, essential services, the Sydney Metro and heavy rail. The proposal will deliver additional affordable housing, childcare facilities, an active retail frontage along the Pacific Highway and improved pedestrian access through the site. As the Chatswood skyline continues to evolve, the proposed building heights are consistent with several other developments in the area. Overall, the project represents a significant opportunity to deliver more homes while contributing to the NSW Government’s housing targets.

As a local resident and pedestrian, I have serious concerns regarding the significantly increased scope of this project.

I have within my capacity looked at the plans for traffic to be directed down Railway Street. This would pose a serious problem as during peak hour Railway Street and the Pacific Highway are highly congested. When turning left onto Railway, what will prevent traffic from using the roundabout to turn back up onto The Pacific Highway causing further congestion? Cars already block the path of pedestrians crossing the highway in their attempt to get past the lights before they turn red. I can’t see how this is going to benefit, or reduce the risk of pedestrians and drivers.

Having experienced the noise pollution of the 871 Pacific Highway construction, which we were assured would only be undertaken during 7am-5pm, I am concerned for those residents along the opposite side of the highway from this proposed work. Very few of us have sound proofed windows, and as older buildings we have thinner glass on our windows. 871 Pacific Highway has construction work almost all weekend, and city infrastructure being built after hours which I have reached out to council many times about.

It's too much. The noise pollution, the already increased traffic along the highway, the congestion of Railway Street and the Pacific highway. Also, the process of even being able to lodge a submission regarding the proposal is inaccessible for many people so there are so many people who are in opposition of this construction who are unable to have a voice.

The location is fantastic. Being right in the Chatswood CBD with both Metro and train lines nearby is a huge plus. Plus, adding childcare and better pedestrian paths is exactly what local families actually need. Great design!
