The development at 9-11 Mawson Ave, Bella Vista, is magnificent, providing 674 dwellings in NSW's struggle to meet ever-increasing residential needs. Cheers, that's the way to go.
However, the greying office blocks in 33 Lexington Drive, Bella Vista and 5 Celebration Drive, Bella Vista, will become poor cousins when the magnificent development gets underway.
I am an occupant in 33 Lexington; all units in this building are individually sewered (we have our own toilets within the office unit). I cannot speak for 5 Celebration Drive.
I appeal that 33 Lexington and 5 Celebration, which are the closest to 9-11 Mawson Ave, be rezoned to commercial/residential so that the 2 buildings (33 Lexington & 5 Celebration) can proudly participate in the NSW Govt's initiative to meet housing demands in the state.

Housing supply is key issue in Sydney - the proposal is well located in close proximity to a metro station and will assist in providing quality dwellings in a well serviced location.

I strongly object to the more than doubling the height of any proposed building in this area. The current zoning restrictions give ample opportunity for construction on housing developments.
Even with the current zoning restrictions there is not enough infrastructure such as roads, schools, parking etc. for this area so by more than doubling the capacity it is just going create an absolute nightmare.

I am generally supportive of some units being built on the site, even though it will create traffic chaos on the already full roads surrounding it. My objection is particularly around the proposed 50 levels to be built on this first development . Originally it was only meant to be a 20 storey building. 50 levels is far too tall considering it is surrounded by low density housing. Also the roads around this development are not able to accommodate a huge increase in cars that 50 storeys will bring. I park at the metro and the traffic is already gridlocked most afternoons so the addition of this building, plus the others that will follow is going to be awful enough without increasing it. The height should be capped at around 20 storeys.

There is not enough infrastructure to support this traffic as well as existing traffic on nearby road is already out of control. Please provide proper infra for the people who are already living here before adding more to the area. I highly object this project and it should be not more than 5 storey building similar to others in the area.
