Infrasound emitted by large wind turbines remains a serious concern for many residents living near wind developments. Reports from other wind farm regions describe headaches, sleep disruption, stress, and anxiety linked to turbine operations. The precautionary principle should apply until independent long-term health studies are completed.

The project industrialises limited, irreplaceable productive agricultural land.
Prime pastoral and cropping country must be preserved for food production, not converted into an industrial energy precinct that’s poisoned forever and ruined with junk infrastructure, towers, hardstand areas, road works and transmission corridors.

The noise generated by 38 industrial wind turbines will negatively impact nearby residents and rural landholders. Continuous turbine blade noise, especially at night, can interfere with sleep, mental wellbeing, and quality of life. Existing rural communities should not be forced to endure industrial noise pollution.

I have concerns about PFAS contamination associated with battery energy storage systems and industrial firefighting foams. Any contamination event could impact local soils, groundwater, and nearby waterways relied upon by farming families. Once PFAS enters the environment, it is extremely difficult and costly to remove.

This is not “clean energy” — it is industrial pollution hidden behind green branding.
The mining, manufacturing, transport and disposal footprint of turbines, transmission lines and batteries creates enormous environmental damage long before a single kilowatt is generated.

This intermittent, useless and destructive plan entrenches dependence on insecure Chinese supply chains and strategic influence.
The overwhelming reliance on Chinese-manufactured turbines, solar components, batteries and rare earth processing raises serious national security concerns and weakens Australian sovereignty.

The proposed Wallaby Creek Wind Electricity Generating Works will industrialise productive rural land that is currently used for agriculture and grazing. The scale of 38 turbines and associated infrastructure risks permanently changing the character of the Narromine and Tomingley district. This development threatens long-term farming viability and rural land values.

The proposal undermines grid stability and energy security.
Wind turbines and lithium-ion batteries do not provide the synchronous inertia traditionally supplied by coal and gas generation, increasing risks of blackouts, frequency instability and cascading system failures.

This project sacrifices reliable electricity for weather-dependent instability.
Wallaby Creek Wind cannot provide power on demand when Australians actually need it.
Industrial wind is intermittent by design, dependent on changing weather conditions and incapable of delivering continuous sovereign baseload power.

I object to the proposed Wallaby Creek Wind farm due to concerns regarding the enormous amounts of diesel consumption and heavy industrial activity required to build and operate this project.

The number of diesel generators that will be required to power the accommodation camp, back up the BESS and back up the switching stations has not been acknowledged by the NSW Government nor the proponent. Insufficient attention is being given to the substantial use of diesel powered machinery that will be required to bulldoze the environment. The transport vehicles will all run on diesel as will the OSOM vehicles and the ships used to transport the components to Australia.

The true environmental cost of this development has not been disclosed nor assessed.
