I live on the other side of town to this project but disagree with the location as it is so close to homes, schools and even a daycare centre

I object this project. My family and I have been locals to the southern highlands for many years. This project should not be able to go ahead as it is not the right site for our beautiful farm lands of moss vale. This will be an eye sore and also the traffic issues This will cause will be horrible for all the local residents of moss vale. I hope GHD can re access what they are doing and the negative impact this will have on all of southern highlands.

I am so happy to see that our NSW will have this kind of factory for recycling the plastics. As we all know that plastics waste is banned to export to China anymore and Australia do need to have ability to processing those waste.
Our resources is limited, recycling makes us achieve sustainable development.
This is a good project, which NSW really needs.

As a former resident and now regular visitor to Moss Vale I would like to strongly object to the proposed development of the Moss Vale Plastics Recycling Business which I believe will have a significant negative impact to the environment in its currently proposed site.
A business of this nature established so close to suburban properties and utilising local traffic roads to manage large heavy vehicles during the construction and ongoing management of the proposed business in not in any way in keeping with modern environmental expectations.
Increased noise levels, unsuitability of Beaconsfield Rd for increased and/or heavy traffic , proximity of traffic near child care facilities, increased pollution from traffic and the business, visual pollution and the supply of power, electricity and water are all issues that will negatively impact on the local community and are not adequately addressed by the EIS.
I urge you to reject the business in the area it is proposed and establish these type of projects in areas that do not impact so negatively on the local communities and the semi rural environment that has drawn the local community to this area in the first place.
Peter

I strongly object to a toxic, unsightly plastic recycling plant being approved in close proximity of residential homes and schools in Moss Vale.
The director, Nanxi Zheng is Chinese businessman Lyu Yalin’s niece. Companies owned by Lyu Yalin have been censured by Beijing’s Environmental and Ecological Bureau. Public notices on the bureau’s website show four regulatory infractions from 2011 including air pollution, with Kelilier, a company owned and operated by Mr Lyu. Please do not allow these ruthless developers into Southern Highlands. Ms Zheng has no experience in plastic recycling and her Chinese uncle doesn’t seem to be a trustworthy developer. As recently as August, Mr Lyu was still being described as the “proposed operator” who “owns and is responsible for Plasrefine Recycling.
Other concerns are: traffic, air and noise pollution. Please don’t allow this proposed 18 meter high concrete building to be built on a beautiful green landscape and destroy our endangered native wildlife habitat. It is hard to believe that this land has now been rezoned as “industrial “. Surely we love and respect our beautiful environment more than that!
There must be a more appropriate location for Plasrefine to build their recycling plant. It is not welcome on our doorstep where it’s toxic fumes, noise and ugliness will affect all Southern Highland residents. I also want to express huge concern about all the schools in close proximity to the proposed site.
Please do not approve the Plasrefine recycling plant in Moss Vale! Thank you for reading my submission.

It is simply not the right location. It will impact our local roads, local noise from trucks, unsafe for school roads to be an access point. Put it far away where no one will be impacted.

The roads in our area CANNOT take ANY extra traffic they are already horrific
I also know a lot of people living close to this project with health conditions eg lung cancer who can not take the extra air pollution

Traffic is already heavy. Extra trucks 24/7 is a ridiculous notion. The roads are already dangerous and poorly maintained.
The water usage and the health implications means this is not even remotely appropriate for Moss Vale.
Please rethink to somewhere with better infrastructure and access and a population that is t heavily increasing.

I,David Chesterfield have lived on corner of Beaconsfield Road /Lytton Road for 54 years and have witnessed the development of this area into a beautiful residential place. The number of families that use this road or vicinity for recreation either by walking and taking animals is unbeliveable.Unfortunately there is NO footpaths and the road is very narrowand is NOT viable for heavy vehicle movements, thus creating a HAZZARD on the surrounds!!!!.There is bus stops on ths corners of these road involving a lot of children coming and going to and from school. This facility will be detrimental to the values of this area. Signed::::David Chesterfield.
