The project is very close to existing essential services including the metro and shopping centre. It’s a great opportunity to deliver more homes.

I believe that the proposed development is appropriate and well placed adjacent to shopping and the metro station. The affordable housing should be well received.

I do not oppose high density living housing options because I am living in one myself. But to build a 52 to 60 storey residential is not going to benefit Macquarie Park because:
1. Current traffic into Herring, Waterloo & Talavera road is very congested. We need widen roads not more roundabouts and traffic lights.
2. Lack of community infrastructure. No free public library, swimming pool or sports complex in Macquarie Park. Nearest is Ryde Els Park.
3.Existing public infrastructure is old and not updated to serve this growing population growth. We will need wider pedestrian pathway, modern playground and council parking.
4. There is already an existing Meriton development of matching scal, if not bigger scale in place to support population growth. And word has it that they are not selling as much as one would that this will be the case since we are experiencing a housing shortage crisis.
My objection is we do no more than 25 storey of high rise residential building until we can sustain our community with quality living. We ought to remind ourselves what affordable housing should not be the disguise of building more apartments by private developers. Passing this responsibility to the private sector can potential create issues due to different demograpahic needs. Ladtly, what we have witness from the other concrete jungle popping up in Hills Shire, Parramatta, Rhodes waterfront, Chatswood and etc... let's learn how not to repeat that in Ryde's Macquarie Park. We are already a concrete jungle so stop turning it into a mega ugly one.
Thank you.

60 storey high apartment should not be allowed in any suburb, except in the CBD.
It will damage all the facilities and affect the living conditions of the residents of that area.
12-20 storey high is much appropriate!

I am writing to strongly object to the development at 15-21 Cottonwood Crescent.
1. Severe Visual Oppression:
Increasing the height from 65m to 212m (60 storeys) is a massive overdevelopment. These towers will be the most dominant and intrusive structures in the area, creating a suffocating sense of oppression. It will completely block our sunlight and destroy the character of our neighborhood.
2. Dangerous Traffic & Overcrowding:
Waterloo Road is already at a breaking point with constant traffic and pedestrian congestion. Adding 858 units will create a serious safety hazard. It is already chaotic to cross the road to the station and mall; this project will make it a nightmare and put lives at risk.
Macquarie Park cannot handle this level of density. I urge the Department to reject this proposal to protect our safety and living standards.

I strongly support this proposal as it aligns with NSW’s strategic planning goals. It leverages the Sydney Metro investment to provide unbeatable connectivity and critical affordable housing for our essential workers. Integrating modern residential growth with established services like Macquarie Centre is the most sustainable way to meet the precinct’s future needs.
