This project will affect local residents by increase in noise and pollution from heavy vehicles expected on local residential streets. There will be noise pollution if operations are planned to be 24/7. This will affect night shift workers we have in our community who work in hospitals, police, ambulance, aged care, council etc. These people need to be able to sleep during the day without noise. How safe guarded are we and our our local environment to be protected by any potential contamination from the former landfill site? We are already affected by the development of the Moorebank Intermodal Precinct, the Western Sydney Airport flight path and Landcom's Glenfield West Project. Glenfield is a small suburb with old infrastructure that will not cope with this proposed project.

Our detailed objection to this proposal is attached, due to it's unacceptable impact on the Campbelltown Koala Population, inconsistent with the National Recovery Plan for the Koala, the Campbelltown Koala Plan of Management, and the NSW Chief Scientist.

I am writing to formally and strongly object to the proposed 24/7 industrial refining development located directly across the road from my family’s home.

The approval of this project would have a devastating, irreversible impact on our quality of life, our health, and the character of our local community. We urge the planning authority to reject this proposal based on several critical grounds.

First, the continuous, round-the-clock nature of a 24/7 industrial refining facility will introduce intolerable noise, light pollution, and potential air quality issues directly adjacent to residential properties. We already suffer from excessive noise pollution generated by the nearby intermodal terminal. Adding a 24/7 refining operation will completely destroy any chance of peaceful rest, leading to chronic sleep deprivation and long-term physical and mental health consequences for my family and neighbours.

Second, the exponential increase in heavy trucks and commercial traffic passing directly across the road from our home will create extreme safety hazards, severe congestion, and increased wear on local infrastructure. Residential streets are simply not designed to handle the constant heavy vehicle movements associated with round-the-clock industrial refining.

Third, the proximity of a heavy industrial refining plant directly opposite our residence will severely devalue our property. Families move to this region for peace, quiet, and residential amenity—not to live on the doorstep of heavy industry. This development threatens to make our home unsellable and strips us of the equity we have worked hard to build.
Finally, our community was chosen as a place to live, raise a family, and enjoy a peaceful environment. Allowing heavy 24/7 industrial refining to encroach directly upon residential areas fundamentally alters the identity of the region, turning a liveable neighborhood into an industrial buffer zone.

This development is entirely incompatible with the surrounding residential area. The cumulative impacts of ongoing intermodal noise combined with a 24/7 industrial refinery are entirely unreasonable to impose on local residents.
We strongly urge the council/planning panel to refuse this development application in full.

The site is in key Koala habitat and contains a koala population.
Under the EPBC act of February 2022 koalas are PROTECTED.
Clearing or changing the character of this site would be illegal.
I have personally seen a koala crossing Cambridge Avenue next to this site and get hit by a car.
No increased traffic in or around Cambridge Avenue or its surrounding vegetation.
Koala habitat has already been destroyed for the Moorebank Intermodal facility.
The koalas in Campbeltown shire and adjacent Liverpool shire are the ONLY chlamydia free colony in NSW!
No more land clearing in koala habitat!

I support the project.

These projects are encroaching more and more on our wildlife and the environment.
Industrial areas are also closing in on family homes, schools and sporting areas.
There needs to be consideration of noise pollution that all these extra industrial precincts are placing on our environment.
This project has already taken acres of trees and animal habitat. Enough is enough.

This project impacts the health and well being of residents, native wildlife and not enough research has been put inot the impact of traffic on the local area. No traffic impact studies give us an understanding of exactly how many trucks we expect to see polluting our roads. I support progress, but this is proposal is just madness. I also ahve concerns about the public recreational space that is being considered to be rezoned. This space is reserved for public recreation and its purpose should be fulfilled as such. the state Givernment had spent millions regenerating the riverfront around LIverpool and to approve this space as industrial would be robbing the residents of that space to enjoy recreation. I expect to see a objection of the project from Liverpool City Council in defense of residents rights and have already informaed them that their postion should be made public prior to the matter being closed for submissions. Therefore I will be making an application to ICAC asking tohem to investigate how the land was aquired, how the approcal of the Intermodal was subject to theis remaining public recreational space and that resident are being robbed of this space next to the river. The Liverpool COuncil CEO and Mayor are aware of my intentions.
