Building is going to be the tallest building in Hawks Nest and visible from all parts of town. Not what we need in our town. We are not against new developments but they have to be done in a scale appropriate for the area. This building is not appropriate to this area
Sanderling is going to be very exposed to wind / sand and salty air. Building will continuously need repairs and maintenance.
This project if going ahead should be scaled down to 2 levels maximum like all the other buildings in Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest... we do not want our town to look like Nelson Bay ... our town and road access are not equipped for high density living. ? School / access to hospital etc ?

I strongly object to this proposal on many grounds. As a resident of the beautiful, cherished coastal village of Hawks Nest, i think the community deserves to be more engaged in this development, therefore should not be a State Significant project.

I provide this submission on Lot 1 / DP 1234229 Sanderling Avenue, Hawks Nest.
I allege that numerous statements in many of the Annexures to this Proposal put forward views that this landholding was previously sandmined. These are allegedly false statements.
I state that the Douglas Partners Report [Geotechnical Report] is a truthful report that illustrates no previous sandmining on the site.
I state that whilst Crown Land in the state of NSW that in June 2017 'persons unknown' trashed this landholding of much of its previous pristine native vegetation.
I state that this 'mulching' occurred on Lot 1 DP 1234229 Sanderling Avenue, Hawks Nest before the land was acquired by the Karuah Local Aboriginal Land Council on 29 August 2017. [NSW Land Services Title Request - AM720563K].
It should be noted that Core Property and Lecic Constructions submitted application to MidCoast Council in September 2017 whereas they did not enter into agreement with the Karuah Aboriginal Land Council until 22 February 2018 to purchase Lot 1 DP1234229 Sanderling Avenue, Hawks Nest.
I state that I need to be properly advised as to who actually own the companies Core Property & Leric Constructions and I request that ownership of any trust structures behind these companies be properly disclosed.
I state that environmental offsets for this proposal - particularly for the Koala - are a joke.
As Complainant to NSW Police in Case C14112443 I advise that certain documentations provided in Annexures accompanying this State Significant Planning Proposal [and mentioned in previous documentations] relating to Lot 1 DP 1234229 Sanderling Avenue, Hawks Nest are involved in this historic NSW Cold Case.
In the current circumstances, and the main reason for my objection, I request that no determination be made on this State Significant Development Proposal until NSW Police Case C14112443 is properly finalised.

Yours Faithfully

I am objecting to the development aswell but my objection is more to the to the change in zoning allowing this to build above the 8.5m restriction.
Growing up and visiting this place my whole life, I would hate to be in such a beautiful place and look back from the beach to see high rise.
Hawks nest does not need to be like the rest of the rat race.
