I have been a rate payer in Mosman for 50 years. I love the character of this wonderful, vibrant and naturally beautiful part of our city. I have been very much involved in the community in many different ways, including giving hundreds of hours as a volunteer in various fields.

I wish to be listened to.

It is most distressing to see the proposed destruction of our currently harmonious built landscape, when alternative solutions to increasing the density of the suburb could be instigated by good imaginative design on a case by case basis.

This may involve tweaking some of the existing local regulations and employing more urban designers of the highest calibre. Mosman, along with other suburbs, deserves better than the one-size fits all arrangement that is being proposed by the State Government, which will strip character and charm from individual suburbs across Sydney, leaving it a bland and boring city.

I strongly object to the development application for 40-48 Redan Street, Mosman.
