This hazardous, toxic contaminating BESS is nothing but a Ticking-Time-Bomb that will result in life-threatening, poisonous fallout from battery fires which threatens Public Health and Safety, seriously risks irreversible contamination of farmland, fisheries, and water catchments, with long-term consequences for generations to come.

I object to this proposal because lithium-ion battery fires are known to enter thermal runaway, producing fires that are extremely difficult to extinguish and can continue or reignite long after initial suppression. How will this be addressed?

The use of polyurethane insulation and panel materials in battery enclosures raises serious concerns, as polyurethane is combustible and releases highly toxic gases when exposed to fire.

This project is NOT in the public interest. This project will only benefit Macquarie Bank and their foreign joint venture partner. This project will ensure electricity consumers have unreliable, unaffordable electricity. Shipping containers filled with lithium ion batteries is not clean or green, it is unrecyclable toxic waste that will contribute to fire risk in this community and environmental destruction.

The parasitic crooks pedalling and approving Intermittent, weather dependent Solar/Wind generation with bankruptingly costly BESS are completely failing the Australian people & irresponsibly destroying our country - which is blessed with far superior, natural energy resources that they are cruelly depriving us of.

Who is the enabler of this torturous prioritisation of CCP control of our electricity system and the deliberate sacrificing of our once energy independent, secure country?

Destructive BESS plans like this pathetically incapable, purveyor of poison wrongly relies on heavy taxpayer subsidies - financially unsustainable without them - shifting risk from the fake green carpetbaggers to the public and locking in long-term fiscal exposure and economic suicide for Australia.

We totally object to all this insecure, unethical, toxic, RUIN-A-BULL RUBBISH like this BESS, as it’s environmentally destructive, won’t work most of the time, is costing us $$$Billions of wasted public money and making Australia a weak vassal state for China.
