This is not a silver mine but a lead mine. They are submitting misleading information. The mine will destroy farmland and cause accidents on the poor road system. They have infultrated the local council which is an investigatable crime which should be passed along to the aproporite authority.

We were not properly informed about this mine until after we saw the placards on people’s gates. Long after initial submissions were due.
We own a nearby farm with animals within a small radius of this silver aka “lead” mine and wholeheartedly reject this proposal.
The impact on the community will be irreversible, not to mention that we are STILL having debating the ecological disaster this will cause in this day and age. The debate about the potential harm to the natural landscape and surrounds is ludicrous. Leave this beautiful village alone. The scientific data alone is enough to tell us this is NOT acceptable.
I strongly object to this mine and the structures that have been put in place as a Band-Aid solutions in order to open this mine.
Surely the health and well-being of the community and the wildlife in this region is of paramount significance.

The environmental impacts have been greatly reduced. It will provide much needed materials for essential medical equipment and processes, it will also assist green energy infrastructure production. It will also pump millions into our local economy and provide much needed employment for our community.

This project is environmentally sound, it is essentially to the survival of our towns by providing employment opportunities and for increased business in our struggling local economy. The amendments to the project decreases risk to an already low impact environmental project. The support this company gives to our community is to be congratulated, due to the business already closed down in our community, Bowdens is one of the few that provides educational support and financial support to much need volunteer organisations and community projects.

I have read and understand the amendments proposed. It is my opinion the amendments that have been proposed by Bowden Silver Pty Limited are positive and constructive in their content in further protecting the land and the environment. This action displays an attitude by Borden’s Silver Pty.Limited in seriously endeavouring to work with the NSW government and the Mudgee district in both protecting the land whilst creating badly needed employment in the district which in turn will stimulate and benefit the economy in both the Mudgee area and as revenue provider for NSW. I support these proposals as a plan that if approved will be meritorious for all concerned.

I strongly object to the project all all counts.
The water amendments do not satisfactorily address the issues and the effects on local agriculture will be damaging.
Nothing about this project is beneficial to those living around the mine only detrimental to their lifestyle and health.

I object to this latest version of SVL's proposal to mine lead, silver and zinc at Lue. These are some of my reasons.
We have a registered bore with a current 50 megalitre irrigation licence which is an important part of my family's plans for the future. The company has claimed there will be no impacts on this asset. This confidence seems misplaced as there has been no monitoring of this bore since KCN inexplicably ceased the practice in 2012 and SVL holds no other information about it that they will disclose to me.
The description of a wide range of potential adverse health, well-being, environmental and economic impacts that are worrying to the community as "minimal" or "acceptable" is unscientific, imprecise and deceptive. Clearly "no health impacts of concern" means in fact the opposite of "no health impacts".
The large numbers of heavy lead trucks travelling through Mudgee and other towns will have a huge adverse effect on communities that have been kept completely unaware of the impacts of this project.
Widespread concerns about the impact of this development on its neighbours' property values are dismissed with no evidence whatsoever. Indeed an examination of the effects of other mining projects in the area on properties not purchased by a mining company would lead to a different conclusion.
Water sources and water impacts are a major component of mining developments. This is a significantly different project to the one described in the original EIS that community members, organisations and government bodies spent so much time, effort and money responding to. Now these same people and groups have only 2 weeks to examine this new proposal and respond yet again.
This latest proposal, and the fact that significant changes have been proposed at this late stage, raise further questions around the company's integrity and competence. That they could be allowed to mine lead so close to a village and school and in the catchment of Lawson Creek and the Cudgegong River defies belief.
